Ordered online thru SKIP. Ordered 2 orders of the War Wonton with as it says, Prawns, beef & chicken. I also ordered extra vegetables in each order for a total of $11. The orders themselves without the extra vegetables, were $20 each. I received the order but sadly it took an hour and 15min to get to me. I opened both orders to see what I didn't get. 1st order had one piece of pollock(fake crab) and one solitary shrimp, 2 pieces of beef, and 1 pce of tripe. For the additional kick to the teeth, 1st order had no chicken in it. 2nd order had exactly the same. And to boot, both orders, with extra vegetables added on for $5.50 each, I had 10 small pieces of veggies in 1st order and less in the 2nd. Although soup broth was tasty and there were lots of stuffed wontons. IM ABSOLUTELY BEYOND FLABBERGASTED!! Total order was just over $50, not including taxes or tip. I understand that everything has gone up in price considerably with costs, tariffs, and on and on but holy frickin ripoff. People, think twice before you order cuz if you do, accept that you're gonna get nothing in return. GOLDEN BELL DO BETTER cuz you are...
Read moreDO NOT waste your money here!! Honestly, it used to have GREAT reviews...but that was years ago....now it's clearly lacking any and all effort previously put into the business! We ordered through SKIP last Saturday night, and ended up driving straight back to the place to ask for a refund. The Shrimp Salad rolls had ZERO flavor, which is not typical for Vietnamese cuisine EVER!! The 'Pad Thai'....well, perhaps renaming it 'Bad Thai' would be appropriate. Just a slop of mushy noodles, a weird orange sauce/color, and 3 rubbery Shrimp. That was literally IT. I took one bite and spat it out. The owner is very unpleasant and refuses to offer assistance, going as far as to ask 'Have you ever eaten this before?", instead of owning up to the garbage that his customers are ending up with when they place an order for what they hope will be a nice treat on their night off of cooking. SERIOUSLY, please save your wallets and...
Read moreWe had lunch at the Golden Bell Sub & Grill Restaurant after my wife’s hairdresser recommended it. The menu is very large and has lots of good options. It’s in a strip mall, by Nutters off of Dunmore road.
I finally decided on the Super Bowl, a vermicelli bowl with grilled shrimp, chicken, beef, pork and crispy spring rolls. It was absolutely delicious and had a lot of the things that I wanted to try. I also had the Vietnamese coffee, which I was always curious about and I loved it, with its trickling coffee brewing and condensed milk over ice.
My wife ordered the satay chicken noodle soup, as it was recommended by her hairdressers. It was spicy, rich, hot and delicious too. The owner and his son were friendly and the food came faster than fast food. A great spot and we will definitely be back to try...
