TacoTime — Restaurant in Medicine Hat

I used drive thru. The wait to order was close to 4 minutes that’s after waiting for the vehicle in front of me to wait at least that to place his order. I asked for salt in my bag twice when I ordered once originally and reminded her again after she read back my order and missed it(they ask what condiments you want, I like this as it cuts down on waste) and then at the window I had to ask again. The lady I ordered from was harsh and rushed and seemed very flustered. The gentleman that took my payment was pleasant. My extra crispy Deluxe mexi fries were incredible as always. I tried the chicken quesadilla for the first time, what a mistake. The chicken was very dry and tasteless, it was dark meat, for some reason I expected white meat. The side of sour cream was half the size it should be and I feel that there was too much cheese in comparison to the rest of the ingredients. I don’t recommend the chicken quesadilla it was definitely the worst one I’ve ever had.

Update: I was contacted by Taco time and was offered an apology, an explanation (not an excuse) a solution and a coupon. I appreciate the follow up and the customer service. My next visit was way better… although I’ll not order the chicken quesadilla, the picture shows white meat and it definitely isn’t white meat in the quesadilla, that’s just a personal preference not a reflection of...

The service is just ridiculously slow. Spent over 20 minutes in the drive thru from the time we entered until we got our food. Meanwhile we watch people go in and get their food in only a couple of minutes. We couldn’t get out of the drive thru to go in otherwise we would have.

The staff seems like they are just half there and move slow. We paid, the window gets closed. They go find the drinks sitting there (we’re already filled), they hand them to us and then the window closes. Then they take another order and hand us our food afterwards. Meanwhile our food has been sitting in the bag the entire time.

We watched at least 2 cars back out behind us and leave because of the wait.

Thankfully we went here first then to the food truck in front otherwise the food from the truck would have been ice cold.

I pulled up to the drive thru window hungry. Actually hangry. And it took forever to have anyone acknowledge that I was there. The very first thing the person at the order window said was I'm so sorry for the wait. What can I get for you today. I ordered my salad and when I arrived at the window it was already ready. I asked the young lady at the window if they were short staffed and she said they were. She had an actual look of fear on her eyes like I might blast her or something. Regardless of that she was beyond pleasant and made small talk with me as I paid. She made my visit to the restaurant so good that I couldn't wait to give my review.
