They used to be great - one of the few restaurants I felt was safe for me to go to with my eating disorders, even. We used to go a few times a month, but they have been getting worse and worse to the point where poor management is on clear display. None of the staff members care about providing good service or even adequate food anymore. They don't get orders right and won't do anything to make things right after the fact except to ask the customer to keep trying. But, it doesn't seem to matter what I tried, they still could not fulfill my orders correctly. (Even when we remind them, "no cheese on the hamburgers, please," they were still unable to provide a hamburger without cheese and then started to mess up the rest of the orders out of spite. For example, by putting cheese on all the hamburgers and also switching all the double bacon cheeseburgers ordered to single cheeseburgers with no bacon. We ordered through the app each time so there would be no confusion regarding what was being ordered, too. At that point, it started to feel purposeful.)
After calling the number on the app, I was told to expect a callback from management to make things right. Corporate said that, as per policy, because of how wrong my last two orders went, there were both to be refunded, especially since one of them was already a makeup order for a previous wrong order. That call never came, so it was escalated to be a call from the district manager. Instead of a callback (and the refunds I was promised), I got an email thanking me for the details of my "excellent experience" at this location. All management did was to purposefully add insult to injury - I haven't had anything close to what I would describe as "excellent" from this location for months and am still waiting for the promised refunds. At this point, it not only feels purposeful, but also vindictive.
Based on the district manager's email, Wendy's management believes that not being able to get a single sandwich right in an order is an "excellent experience." They clearly do not care about the customer experience like they claim to and will not follow through on a single promise they make. Sadly, honesty isn't part of the Wendy's experience anymore. They'll give you whatever they want instead of what you order and then say whatever they can to lead you on and frustrate you enough to give up trying to get your money back after they took it under false pretenses.
PSA - this is not a safe restaurant for people with eating disorders as they will purposefully add stress to your eating experience and there is a high likelihood that you will not even receive the food...
Read moreWent through drive thru when it was busy, so I wasn't wait time isn't a factor in my review, as it was incredibly busy. Staff on the mic basically whispered, heard someone speak so I just ordered and hoped someone was there, there was and my order was heard, but I guess not correctly. My order was 2 Dave's singles with Cheese, along with a medium iced tea, so not complicated, when I got to the window the gentleman who was there repeated my order as a Dave's Single with Cheese, Medium fry and medium iced tea, I corrected it to my original order with no fries and a second burger. The gentleman appeared annoyed by my request to have my order be what I actually ordered. After an extra 3 minutes at the window I got my food and then he said have a nice day, then I reminded him I still needed my iced tea. He clearly took this as a personal attack, he shut the window moderately aggressively and stormed away from the window. Waited another 2 minutes for a drink which he then gave to me with a snarky look and then once again shut the window in an aggresive manner. I took a sip once I had arrived back at my hotel only to discover this wasn't iced tea. The employee running the 1st window at around 430pm on November 18th took immense offense to me asking for my full order and correct order, he intentionally gave me the wrong drink and dirty looks as he gave it to me. I don't recommend this specific location to anybody looking for a quick meal. As the staff will likely mess up your order initially and then take it as a personal attack when corrected. This employee needs to be dismissed before he throws a temper tantrum at a customer for trying to get what they want to eat after he...
Read moreMy wife and I placed an order on the Wendy’s app for pickup. I went inside to pick the order up. I saw the order sitting in the mobile order pick up area and asked if the order was for *(Name) and if I could take it. The staff told me to wait and ignored me while taking other orders and chatting amongst themselves. Once they allowed me to pick up the order and I walked over to the fountain machine to to fill up my drink, one of the employees walked over to me and loudly stated “you need to bring your delivery bag in the store with you, customers will complain”. I told the woman I am not a delivery driver and she quickly walked away. No apology or comment was made about this. It is very rude to assume someone is a delivery driver based on the colour of their skin and as such treating them like they do not matter. Very disappointing having to deal this type of behaviour over something as simple as picking up lunch. If fresh, garden-variety racism served unabashedly is what you are looking for, you are going to...
