Moved my family to Midland this year and finally went into the bakery. Their artisanally-crafted handmade cupcakes are spectacular - delicious and decorated with a keen eye and attention to fine detail. Midland had seeded within my tummy a warm affection for butter tarts, but this place has transformed it into a flaming, mouthwatering, passionate culinary love affair! Just don't buy them all, so there are some left for me too 😁 Their homemade-style chili is delicious as well. Cooked to perfection, wholesome and no corners cut. One container fed wifey and myself for the entire day - we loved it! Be sure to get a baguette with it as well to dip into the chili, or make mini open-faced "chili sandwiches". I was really disappointed in the cake I ordered. The name was spelled wrong,, and the decorating was something I could have done myself. It wasn’t worth the amount of the cake. It didn’t look like the picture I sent, because the cake was really short and the drizzle icing was broken up and not smooth. The cake and icing tasted good, and the staff are friendly, but that’s all I can say that’s positive. I wouldn’t have even bothered with this review except for the fact that nobody responded to my email when I mentioned my disappointment and the fact that the name was spelled wrong. A simple apology for that would have been appropriate. The person whose name was spelled wrong was insulted by this. It was spelled properly in the information provided.
