Those poor workers.... how do you exspect them to do there job when they cant even move around. They have no space to work. We ordered 3 meals therefore that means I get my card punched 3 times. However I take my wallet out and pay for my order go to give my card and she informs me that she can not punch it there at the till. Tells me I have to get it punched over were I pick up my order. Ok so I put my things away in my purse proseed to find a spot to stand. Which was not an easy task. Wait halfway down the isle were people are eating. Wait and wait moving forward ever so slowly. Finally its my turn to get my food, I go to the counter put my purse down again and dig out my wallet find the card again have them punch it put my card away again take my purse down off the counter which is almost to tall to see into my purse by the way. I then tell the workers how bad I feel for them to have to work there in all that caos. By now after watching all them smashing into each other triping over each other just to try and do there jobs. I have to tell you I was starting to feel anxiety. Anyways I take my food and walk around and around until we finally find a place to sit. Now we can finally eat. Let me tell ya it was horrible. ...dry and very greasy if you can imagine that. I realize its only fast food but I have to tell you this place just seems to be getting worse on all aspects. Oh yah and when we were going to order we had to ask them about 3 different meals we were not sure if they still had or not because it wasnt on the menu windows. Read moreI've spent several years working in the food service industry, so I understand that customers can sometimes be unreasonable and that many issues are outside of the control of the employees. I understand that wait times will be longer during rushes, and especially during the pandemic.
The issue I've faced 9 out of 10 times that I've used the drive thru (including BEFORE the pandemic) is that the drive thru moves incredibly slowly regardless of the time of day - sometimes it has taken me 25 minutes before I get to place my order! Then when you finally get to the window to collect your food, they tell you to park in the lot and wait. They do this so they can say their wait times are shorter than they are in reality. At least you'd think they'd make sure the order is correct after all that time it took to prepare, but no, you cannot count on that at this location! They gave my drink to another customer and then when I pointed out that I think that was my missing drink, the employee asked me if I wanted my drink remade. The fact that she thought that it would ever be acceptable to take a drink that's already been sipped from another customer's car (even if this was not during a pandemic) is appalling. It really makes me question how safely the food is being handled in the kitchen.
I'm not the only person whose written a review about the same issues. How come other McDonald's locations can handle their drive thru's efficiently? Do Mark and Carol just not care to improve the situation since there's not much...
Read moreLive in Midland and have gone to this location multiple times. I have a severe dairy allergy and always make that clear when I order. This is my third time ordering "no cheese" and have gotten cheese every single time. My burger even had a special ticket that stipulated no cheese and they still messed it up. I ordered drive through and didn't even realize until I got home. So, there is no dinner for me tonight. Please stay away from this location if you have any modifications to your meals as you can't rely on them doing it. McDonald's doesn't have a great reputation in general, but this location is by far the worst. Again, I say have been here multiple times. Orders take 20-30min, staff wander around inside doing nothing in particular. Its almost comical watching them. They have a small handful of employees that try their best but unfortunately overall, even the owners waddle around with no speed or good intention. When service isnt speedy they hand out "free medium fry vouchers". I initially thought this was a great way to make uo for slow service. I have lived here four years and recieved multiple of these only to find out upon redemption its actually a small fry. Its been four years, update your vouchers!
