Ed's Submarines & Pizza Shack Chatham — Restaurant in Miramichi

I am totally disgusted! I ordered a large steak, mushroom, cheese sub. I wanted the works and asked for the tomatoes and lettuce be put on the side as my husband and I would share it later and they would make it soggy. When I took the bag, it felt super light. I opened it up. The pictures speak for themselves. The full sub picture, the cut on the right side shows the amount of meat, next to none. I did get them to toast it, the dark upper bun is burnt not meat. I doubt there's a full mushroom and the white sliver is the cheese. Plus it was cold (apparently you need to ask to have it toasted, even if it's a hot steak). I went back in and said this was unacceptable and showed them. It didn't bother them at all. Said there's the meat and cheese. I said there's Hlhardly any meat and cold. They did toast it. I saw another steak sub being made and told them that sub had more meat and lots of cheese. Their answer was I didn't put my tomatoes and lettuce on the sub. Seriously! What did that have to do with meat, cheese and mushrooms? I will never return. We paid 15$ for a big sub bun. I went with my younger brother, younger sister, and mom. I got poutine and a Philly chicken sub, my sister and brother got a cheese pizza, and my mom had onion rings and a caesar sub. The subs were soggy and it looked like mine had its bun stomped on before it was made. My mom’s caesar sub had croutons that she couldn’t even bite through, yup, basically rocks with sauce. The onion rings were also absurd, about 8-9 of them as the whole side dish. The only two decent things were the poutine and cheese pizza, but the cheese pizza was also pretty bad because the cheese was practically falling off. 0/10, would not go to again. After going, my mom told me she was not going again, and I agree with her. The staff were nice, but they clearly didn’t know what they were doing. I genuinely feel like I would have a better experience with staff that swear at me and know what they’re doing...

Love love love this place !!!!!!!! Highly recommended!!! Best pizza and poutine in the entire city of Miramichi!!!! The food is phenomenal, made with love and care and the staff are above standard !!!!!! The Chatham location is so inviting and warm ! You'll be overly satisfied choosing to eat here with whatever you pick and leave with a full belly ! Prices are right , a very clean location, proportions are incredible and service even better ! By far the best, top notch in my books!! I can't wait to see what I'm going...
