Extremely poor customer service!

My husband and I went to Coronas for a date night, Friday, Aug 17 at 7pm. We asked for a table outside, but the waitress said the patio was full, so we got a table inside. We waited almost 15 minutes for a waiter to come and ask us for drinks. During this time, other customers came placed their orders and received their drinks. While we continued to wait for a waiter to ask us for drinks, we saw that a table had opened up outside. So we asked to sit outside, and they happily said sure. When the male waiter sat us down, we told him we are ready to order our drinks and food. He took our order. A few minutes later, he came back with a different table’s drinks. I reminded him if he could also bring out our water. He said something along the lines as yes it’s coming, you have to wait in sequential order. That comment bothered me because other customers who arrived after us, received their drinks. While we waited for the male waiter to bring our drinks, a female waitress came by and asked us if we needed anything. I said we already ordered our water and I told her we had been waiting for our drinks for a while and we saw other customers who came in after us get their drinks before us. She apologized and quickly got us our water we ordered and she was very nice. A few minutes later, the male waiter goes to deliver some food to a table beside us and says “thank you guys so much for having patience, some people don’t have any patience.” This caught me off guard and I wondered if that comment was towards me so I asked him. He said “oh no, no I wasn’t talking about you it was about some other people.” Then a male customer from a different table said “I’ve been waiting for 30 minutes for my food and it’s all good”. I told the male waiter that I don’t mind waiting for my drinks or food, I just don’t appreciate the indirect comments you are making. The same male customer started yelling to my husband and I that “this isn’t Pakistan, this isn’t Pakistan, Sikh, Sikh.” This comment was literally out of know where! This comment shocked me and it really upset my husband, so my husband and the male customer exchanged a few words. I told the male waiter that we are leaving, as nothing was being resolved. When we were about to leave, I wanted to speak to the manager, as I wanted to let him/her know about this incident. No one came to speak to us! Eventually, the male waiter came to speak to us and asked if we wanted to eat inside instead. I couldn’t believe he asked us to sit back down and eat at a restaurant that tolerates that kind of racist behaviour. Never in my life have I ever been to a restaurant and experienced these kinds of racist comments and having nothing been done by the management. I will never, ever eat at Coronas. I can’t support local businesses that have such poor standards.

However, there was a happy ending. My husband and I ended up eating at Greek Islands in Abbotsford and the service and food...

If I could give this place zero stars I would! This restaurant was given rave reviews by a friend and we thought we would try something new. We ordered yesterday using their online website app and selected to pick up our order at 5:15. When we arrived the staff member could not find our order and I was concerned as we ordered $100 worth of food. The staff member blamed us for using the restaurants website and that they didn’t get the order because the orders go to someone’s phone who wasn’t working that night. He then told us that we should of phoned to check that our order was completed, and we had tried to phone but the line was busy and not being answered. It was incredibly uncomfortable as we felt the staff member was blaming us for using their website and that they had all these other orders they got with no problem. He called the staff member at home with “phone” our order was sent to and then all the sudden his demeanour changed. He did not apologize but instead said our order would be next and offered us a soda. He told us 15 minutes and we said we were going for a walk and would be back. When we came back in 20 minutes he said our food was not ready and that our order was next up and that he would bring it to our car. It was now 6:00 45 minutes after our original pick up time. We again stressed that we were disappointed and that we had a hungry 2 year old at home waiting for dinner. The staff member said he would give us a dessert for our trouble. Another 15 minutes go by and we are sitting in our car watching numerous people pick up their to go orders. My sister went in and expressed how this was not ok for customer service ( we have both worked in the customer service industry and know what good service should looks like). The staff member told us he could not give us a refund as we already had paid online in full and my sister came out with our food at 6:30. We were really hopeful that when we got home the food was really worth the hassle and the cost. Unfortunately, it was incredibly disappointing and further added to the negativity of this experience. The portions are incredibly small and the quality was missing for what you pay for it. It not have much of that “Mexican” flavour and it seemed it was just tossed into the to-go containers. I do not recommend this restaurant and will be advising others...

So me, my girlfriend and her sister and friend went to coronas last night and after seeing great reviews was very shocked by everything we got seated quickly but that was the only positive part of the experience we were asked our drink order and they don't even stock root beer considering that's all my girlfriend gets so she went drink less and if id known the price of drinks I'd have done the same (3.50 for jarritos! I can buy a bottle for 1.50 and same with a Pepsi 2.50 on a 99 cent can) since there not unlimited refills. We then place our order which was a fajitas and nachos for me and my girlfriend and that was appalling the nachos were small and covered in everything queso, quacemole its was just a sloppy mess and made the tortilla chips soggy and gross and the fajitas were burnt and considering I've worked in kitchen id say one huge thing that ticked me to is they bring a hot skillet to your tiny table the fact you could burn yourself was a huge annoyance and it keeps cooking the food which is most likely why the meat became tough and uneddible for a 17 dollar dish! I payed 17 dollars to make my own fajitas at the table with burnt meat. The waiter couldn't hear us because the music was entirely to loud and never took any plates away as we were finished making us have to squish all our plates into one table and expects you to know to just go to front and pay doesn't ask if your finished, can take anything or let you he has your bill at the front just absolutely no customer service and as much as a put the prices above it wasn't until we got the bill that was almost 40 that I asked for the receipt and saw just how over priced it all was. Coronas was the worst restaurant experience I've ever had of all the provinces and states I've visited our lived in and I've moved 26 times so I've tried places people don't even know and still I'd recommend staying away I could have spent 20 and made the same meal at home and have been satisfied instead of wasting my money I only have it 1 star because of I could put half a star I would it honestly...
