I recently visited Babaz Shawarma in Malton, and I have to say, it was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warmth and genuine friendliness by the staff. It’s rare to find a place where the team is not just professional, but also extremely kind and welcoming. Every interaction with the staff felt personal—they made me feel like more than just another customer, and that’s something I truly appreciate.

Their price was cheap however, compared to other places, plus they offered free delivery, which is what pushed us to order at first,(36$ for two platters) but do not let this convince you as you might end with an unsatisfactory meal. i hardly ever put bad reviews. In fact I hardly ever give reviews but we were very disappointed. I don’t expect a 5 star dinner but this was very unsatisfying. Firstly the rice was not very good. Absolutely not your typical delicious basmati which is one of the best parts of shawarma. The potatoes did not have much flavor but weren’t horrible, however the portion was tiny. The salad was fine , very small portion but it was okay. The meat was absolutely burnt! Both mine kofta and my partner skewers were absolutely burn. Mine was almost enedible and if it wasn’t for the fact i have had a long day and was starving and just needed anything at all i might not have eat it. Besides burn the kofta had no flavor at all.
