Disappointing UFC Event Experience 7th Dec, 2024

I attended a UFC event at this establishment with friends, and unfortunately, the experience fell far below expectations due to poor service and management.

Service Issues: Initial Impressions: The host greeted us and escorted us to our table. However, when we requested one of the empty booths nearby, we were told they were reserved for the evening. Despite this, the booths remained unoccupied for the entirety of our visit, which left us feeling misled.

Table Service: When our wings arrived, they were delivered without napkins, wipes, or condiments. It took us nearly 8 minutes to flag someone down for these basic items. Later in the evening, our server informed us she was leaving and rushed us to close our tab by 11:30 PM. She assured us the next server would attend to us, but no one approached our table for the remaining two hours, leaving us entirely neglected.

Note- Bar was not even at full capacity.

Event Management:

Delayed Stream: The UFC stream was significantly delayed, approximately 7–8 minutes behind live action. When I brought this to the server’s attention, the initial response from management was dismissive and unhelpful. The manager’s first question to me was, “Do you want to watch it on your phone or on the screen?”—a statement that felt patronizing and unprofessional.

-Lack of Accountability: The manager claimed the delay was due to the broadcast provider (Rogers) and insisted they had no control over it. However, when pressed, the stream was eventually corrected, proving that the issue could indeed be resolved in-house. Despite this, the manager remained argumentative and refused to acknowledge the error or offer a simple apology.

Overall Experience:

The combination of subpar service, lack of basic hospitality, and poor event management made this visit frustrating and disappointing. We came to enjoy a UFC event in a welcoming environment but instead felt neglected and disrespected.

For a venue promoting itself as an ideal spot for sports events, there was a clear lack of organization, customer service, and accountability. I hope Bar6 takes this feedback seriously to improve future experiences for their patrons. At the very least, a basic level of professionalism, attentiveness, and respect...

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Bar 6ix, and I must say that the service provided by Brooklyn, our server, was nothing short of excellent. From the moment I walked in, Brooklyn greeted me with a warm smile and a genuine desire to make my visit extraordinary.

Throughout the evening, Brooklyn showcased an impressive level of professionalism and attentiveness. Their knowledge of the menu was commendable, and they offered fantastic recommendations that perfectly suited my preferences. I truly appreciated their attention to detail, ensuring that my glass was always full and that I had everything I needed to thoroughly enjoy my time at Bar 6ix.

Not only was the service top-notch, but Brooklyn's personality added an extra layer of charm to the entire experience. Their friendly and engaging demeanor made me feel right at home, creating a welcoming and inviting atmosphere that made the evening even more enjoyable.

I was particularly impressed by Brooklyn's efficiency in taking and delivering orders. Despite the bar being busy, they handled every customer request with grace and precision, never missing a beat. It was evident that they were dedicated to providing exceptional service to each and every guest, making sure that everyone felt valued and well taken care of.

In addition to their outstanding service, Brooklyn's mixology skills were truly remarkable. They crafted delightful cocktails with flair and creativity, showcasing their expertise in the craft. Each drink was masterfully balanced and beautifully presented, enhancing my overall enjoyment and adding to the overall experience at Bar 6ix.

I cannot recommend Bar 6ix enough, and I strongly urge you to request Brooklyn as your server when you visit. Their exceptional professionalism, attentiveness, and friendly nature create an atmosphere that sets Bar 6ix apart. Brooklyn truly goes above and beyond to ensure every guest has an unforgettable time.

Bar 6ix Sports & Wings in my neighborhood had been on my radar for a while, and we finally got around to trying it out for lunch last week. The moment we walked in, the funky modern design left a lasting impression. The curvaceous ceiling lights visually guide patrons as they navigate the restaurant. Multiple TVs in different sizes are strategically placed throughout the space. The central bar is a focal point, fostering an energetic atmosphere and ambiance, particularly during peak hours or when major sporting events are being screened.

At Bar6ix Sports & Wings sports bar, the menu presents us with an impressive array of food options, spanning from appetizers to desserts. One notable aspect is the 113 flavours available for grilled or baked chicken wings, with order sizes available from 1 lb to 10 lb. This extensive selection makes choosing quite challenging. The 113 flavours are the result of development by the chef or suggestions from patrons over time, a testament to the establishment's commitment to variety.

After looking at the wings menu for at least 10 minutes, we decided to order dry rub lemon pepper wings and medium gonzo and blue cheese wings. The wings were incredibly sumptuous, grilled to perfection, crispy but not greasy, especially those wings drenched in the blue cheese sauce. We promptly gobbled up the wings. Moreover, we ordered the spinach and cheese dip as appetizers, which was delightfully savory. We were so full that we could not try the bar 6ix signature cookie. Next time, we will try it.

The waitress Robin was friendly and courteous. Her serving manner was good and gave us good recommendations when we placed our order.

We were lucky to have visited the restaurant shortly after its opening at noon. As a result, we were able to record a video and take some photos at a relaxed pace while the restaurant was empty.
