I was visiting from Louisiana, USA and I had some friends recommend me NYF for their poutine and I must say I was extremely disappointed. I’ve had poutine in Canada before and I’ve always enjoyed it except this time was ridiculously awful. I got the classic large poutine expecting it to be filled with gravy and cheese, but there was barely any gravy or cheese curds and it felt like I was eating wet fries. There was not even any gravy 1/4 way in on the fries and just dry fries. I went back to ask them for more gravy and cheese and instead of offering to fix the issue, they said it would cost more to add the already skimped gravy and cheese. I love this place, I come here everytime. However today was not one of those days. It was very busy on a Saturday evening which is common. I’m a regular, and I didn’t see this one person that I know working. I was waiting for my food, I ordered a Regular Bacon Double Cheese. When they call out your order number, you have to give proof by showing your recipe that you got from the cashier. I heard my order number and confirmed with the reciepe.
