I have bought food from this place over 50 times in the past 2-3 years, if not more. The food is decent and cost effective. HOWEVER, the issue is the attitude of the cashier lady who is extremely annoyed at doing the basics of her job. I would not be writing this review if I was not really frustrated.
I went couple of weeks ago to get food, and she was on a phone call with god knows who, and it sounded very much like a personal call. I stood there for a good 15 minutes before she even bothered to hang up because she noticed that i was getting impatient. Not even an apology for making me wait or even the slightest courtesy to acknowledge me as a customer. So I wait until she was done with her personal call and the she proceeded to serve with the utmost annoyance. I was nice about it and did not mention a word. I got my food and I left thinking she could be having a bad day or something could have happened with a loved one and that stressed her out. So I did not complain nor did I write this review.
I go in today, March 1, 2021. She is serving a customer and having a chat. Again, does not even acknowledge me as a customer even after her previous customer has left. And then proceeds to have a conversation with someone at the back until they pointed me out and that I was waiting. She served me with the food items I wanted. I asked about a beef curry and wanted one portion of it, and she filled the container with gravy and only three pieces of beef. It was supposed to be a large and seemed like I was only about to pay for gravy. So I voiced my concern and asked her whether she would be able to decrease the amount of gravy and add more beef since there were barely in there. She got annoyed, and frowned and started giving me a lecture about it is how it is and that it is up to me whether I wanted it like that or not. So, I said no thanks, I will pass.
She could have explained it in a more civil way or nicer way. I wasn't screaming at her or demanding. I was very nice about it regardless of her attitude the entire time. So you know what, I get it that the food you guys serve is decent but if you have a person like that who actually hates doing their job and makes customers wait and makes them feel like they are causing her inconvenience by asking her to serve, then maybe you should hire someone else. I have been to your restaurant when you had someone else at the cash 2 years ago and that lady was actually nice and never gave anyone attitude.
This lady needs an attitude adjustment. If she hates seeing customers, why be there? Maybe have a discussion with your cash person and let her know that her careless attitude with annoyance on her face is not something anyone wants to deal with, especially when we are paying...
Read moreI have been going to this establishment since they opened. Their quality has always been mixed. Service is mediocre. The owner has always been indifferent. One of the sons (I guessed) was even worse. And one day their daughter in law was screaming at the staff in front of several customers. The lady owner whose recipes they normally use has been better than others. The younger son I guess is always mixed up, Takes orders, and does not pass on. If passed on, order not ready or the staff gave the stuff to someone else (can u imagine u go their happy that the order will be ready, and returned disappointed) I am giving 2 stars only because their chapatis and paathas are reasonably fresh. Also 2 stars as their current female cashiers and servers have always been polite, and courteous. And they are their saving grace. As to my commentary on food: I have tried most including Biryanis, Aloo Parathas, Kari Pakora, Chanay, Bihari Kebab, Stews, Shami Kababs and Seekh Kababs etc . So my summary of so food is based on many years or trying. Someone may ask as to why I go there? I go there as there is not much choice in Mississauga, except Bombay Bhel and Karahi Point. They are great but inconvenient, as to distance and timing. I also hope the owners pay attention to not so good reviews, as the complaining customers care about them. They may consider reading some material on the benefits of...
Read moreFirst time at this place. I live close by and i have been passing by it. I never had the opportunity until now.
We were greeted by an amazing front rep Sana. She was welcoming, patient, and knowledgeable about the available dishes they currently were serving, including the prices. Prices are reasonable and the food looks as great as it tastes! Amazing customer service, a great smile, and Sana really knows how to sell! We really came in just for one dish, but after speaking with her we ended up leaving with more! She's a great rep and had me convinced about there dishes. She was not wrong.
The chicken biryani tastes fresh and I would say medium spice. Our family likes the spice so no complaints there! It tasted great and the raita compliments the biryani very well! Likewise, the Pulao tastes amazing! its mild and again, the raita compliments it well. We got a Mutton Curry and it's my personal favorite! Very hot, medium spice, but the quality of taste is right up there! I personally eat and mix it with Pulao or Biryani and it just raises the flavors and heat all together. Love it! Lastly, I got myself a chicken sandwich (picture unavailable - because it was so good I ate before I could upload it!) Less than 2 dollars. Soft bread, mayonnaise, and chicken. Perfect for on the go!
Overall experience was great! Definitely on my go-to places if I'm craving some quality...
