My Empanada — Restaurant in Mississauga

I love this place ♥️. The food in general is delicious.. I have been ordering my Christmas and New Year dinner for 2 years in a row and it is always delicious and enough for a regular adult. You won’t get a plate like that in a regular restaurant. $22 per plate this year and you can order as many plates as you want.For this price you will get 2 different meats (Filet Migñon and pork in a pineapple sauce for the New Year dinner this year) gourmet rice (something different for Christmas and a different type of rice for New Year , Salad (mango, carrots and peppers like a tropical salad), mash potato with cheese on top to put in the oven and a dessert of your choice (Mora, Maracuya so far delicious). I ordered 8 empanadas and later found out that they were hard and crunchy. I am not a Latin American so didn’t know that the crunch is normal. But we preferred the soft taste. I called the store and just asked them if the Crunch is normal (our previous empanada experience was from a a store in Etobicoke and they were fantastic soft and tasty), because I thought they were too hard.

The owner immediately said , “oh don’t worry I am going to make them soft just come and pick them up” now that was something you don’t usually see !! Amazing experience . He promised to give me another set of empanadas free of cost. Usually you don’t see this.

I arrived half an hour before closing, so I wasn't able to order any dishes. They close at 6pm. I did purchase several empanadas and one sausage to go. The empanadas were good, but a bit dry to the taste, maybe some freshly cooked empanadas would probably taste better. The sauce wasn't the typical Colombian green sauce, more like a red picante sauce to me. I wish I could have arrived earlier to have dinner, and the only drawback is they don't serve blended fruit drinks with milk. They offer typical refreshments and beverages. The next time I am in Toronto, I will give this place...
