Harvey's — Restaurant in Mississauga

Don't know what the heck happened here. We ordered 3 burger combos and it was the worst burger experience of my life. I'm not joking.

I wish I had pictures but my phone literally needed to get repaired that day so I was without it... this was a few weeks ago.

To start, I traditionally love Harvey's. Have always. It's been one of my favourite burgers since a child... what I ate at this location last time was disgusting... and I don't usually talk like that about food, okay?

I don't know if Harvey's as a whole has changed their suppliers or if it was just this location, I have no idea..... life has been crazy the past few years, last time I went to Harvey's was in maybe 2021, at a different location, and it was great.

And I've been to this location prior, and no problems... but this last time was so gross that I'll never be back to this location... I might swear off Harvey's itself for good, that's how bad it was.

The buns were not what we are used to. Tasted like a different kind of bun, looked it too... okay, can get with that... but the patty was gross. Not only was it smaller than I expected/have come to expect from Harvey's, but it looked off. It had a weird colouring to it. Like potentially undercooked or something.

It tasted like a reheated burger. Like just so far away from what I expect a Harvey's burger to taste like. It was genuinely a gross burger, and it was all 3 of us. All 3 of our burgers were like that. 3 customers with the same experience.

It's disappointing from what I've come to expect from this franchise, but even just from a regular burger experience. Idk what that was... genuinely one of the worst burgers of my life, and definitely the most disappointing burger I've ever had from an establishment. Imagine me, going in there, expecting a great Harvey's burger and I'm served what looked and tasted like, not a Harvey's burger? Like, not even a good burger, a bad one.

Is this location using different ingredients? What happened here? I'm so disappointed.

You start to question if there was an insidious reason for this from staff because it's just such an odd experience. Did everyone that day receive burgers like this? Is this just how Harvey's is at every location now? Is it just this location? What happened?

I'll never come back to...

Truly an only "OK" place to visit. The location is excellent, and the food is always fresh and cooked nice & hot. So that's nice. However, the service from some of the staff is pretty sad. One of the workers, a very pretty female always looks angry, and I've seen her be rude to a few of her coworkers. I don't know what drama goes on behind the scenes, every workplace has some, but leave it in the back. There was a taller paler gentleman, who I haven't seen in a while who was amazing, as well... but I don't know where he went. He is/was super knowledgeable, not just in regards to the menu, but also to the Scene Point service as well. I had forgotten my card, but he told me I can collect my points after with my receipt… I know Swiss Chalet & Harveys are doing this promo thing, and I eat at Harveys and SC a bunch, and never have my Scene Card on me, this gentleman was the ONLY person to tell me about the collection with the receipt. Thank you, mystery man.) OH! And there's a shorter gentleman as well, wears black glasses, he is the most friendly and down to earth worker there. Every time I come in, and he is there, he never fails to make the experience a genuinely excellent one. Most people just make your food, top it, and then slap it on a tray and walk away. I have seen the glasses man (I want to say Jessie?) serve people who truly do not deserve a smile, with jokes, smiles, and enthusiasm, I have seen him go above & beyond on MULTIPLE occasions. Glasses man always walks food over to elderly clients, holds doors open for people, seems like he’s always on top of things and it truly shows. What a genuine worker. The owner of this place should be so lucky to have Glasses Man, and Tall Scene Card Man. I’m sure Cranky Lady has her good moments too! Went to Harvey’s February 24, we had take in The service was so slow and there was no one there. when we got our food. The lady who served us took her five minutes to do one burger to put the toppings on and it was sloppy Burger, so we ate inside and then we open our burgers. Our burgers buns where flat there’s was no bun it look like a pancake bun, Everything was hard as a rock the hamburger was beef jerky. Onion rings were overcooked. My mother-in-law couldn’t even chew them we asked to wipe the tables. All the tables were dirty And the bathroom was filthy The toilets didn’t work there’s pee all over the floor paper towels all over the floor toilets did not work out of order. The paper towels didn’t work to wipe your hands when you went to the washroom and this location, Lakeshore and erin Mills. This is my second time I went to eat in never again, This is the worst Harveys in Mississauga and I’m going to let all my friends and family know about this place not to go and tell their friends about it.
