Went to 6:30 and this place was super stacked. The wait was around 15 minutes and we got the table.!!
Food- 8/10 Was amazing and had authentic flavor. Although its not a typical gujju thali, its a blend of punjabi and gujju to capture the wider audience specially ones in Brampton.
Service - 10/10 All the staff are really nice and happy. They always try to serve you and insist you to try new dishes with love and compassion unlike other Indian owned places where staff is underpaid and under constant work pressure. There are dedicated staff just to ensure you have everything whenever you need and don't need to wait for second round of serving. Everything ia unlimited
Ambience - 6/10 The place is pretty small and tables are often really close. The couple sitting close to us were constantly starring at us while we devour into our food while they were waiting for their food, ot felt a bit awkward. There is literally no privacy as you can clearly listen to what nearby people talk, music is too low to give you some cover. Washroom are paced and no place to wash hands, need to wait 5-10 min in queue just to wash hands inside washroom. Owners should at least keep 2-3 sink outside as most people just want to wash hands after eating with desi hand style.
Pro tips:
#Make sure you call and reserve your name with the person waiting near entrance with a notepad, if your name is not there, you will not be seated.
#Kids dishes are charged as adults, make sure you dont waste money if your kids don't like indian food.
#Kindly take only what you can eat, seen a lot of table wasting food which was sad to see. Although, the staff suggested that pls finish the food in very polite manner, ppl tend to take more and at the end leave it coz ITS FREE and unlimited.
I would suggest try all things first and only eat what you like as each thing as its own peculiar gujarati taste. Some Punjabi dishes are cooked gujju way and its bit on the spicier side.!!
#Dal bati, sheera and Roti are main highlights. Do not feel shy to ask for specific items, staff would be more than happy to serve you.
#Tip generously please.!! Given the kind of hard work and service these students are providing, it is just awesome. Never seen such a happy minded positive staff who serves you food.!! They surely deserve something extra for their dedicated efforts.
Nite to owners, Kindly put some sinks and if you tried to make it authentic gujju, I would recommend to add some kathyadi dishes like sev tameta, bharthu, mohanthal, aam ras and other such items instead of panner and aloo matar which are basic nowadays.

Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Maharaja Bhog, and I must say, it was a memorable experience! The restaurant offers a beautiful blend of Rajasthani, Gujarati, and Sindhi cuisine, served in a traditional thali-style, which is definitely a treat for anyone looking to explore authentic Indian flavors.
We started our dinner with Gol Gappe, which were bursting with flavor and perfectly crisp – a delightful way to begin the meal. Following that, we indulged in the Maharaja Thali, a grand spread featuring seven curries, two sweet dishes, two starters, a refreshing salad, three different types of bread, and the famous Dal Pakwan – a Sindhi specialty. The thali truly showcased the diversity of Indian cuisine, with each dish offering a unique taste.
One of the great aspects of the thali experience at Maharaja Bhog is that they offer a rotating selection of dishes every day, so there's always something new to try. I particularly enjoyed the Rajasthani Dal, which was on the spicier side, and the Gujarati Dal, which had a lovely sweet flavor. It's clear that the restaurant aims to cater to a variety of palates, though I would recommend being mindful of the flavor differences – some dishes may appeal to different tastes more than others.
The hospitality and service were top-notch. The staff were attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. The ambiance of the restaurant was also impressive, with an authentic, premium Indian vibe that added to the overall experience.
As for the food, while most of it was great, there were a few dishes that felt a bit average. However, this really depends on personal taste and preferences. The good part is that you're free to repeat any of the dishes you particularly enjoy, ensuring that you get to savor what suits your palate.
Maharaja Bhog offers a truly royal thali buffet experience, served directly at your table – a great way to enjoy a variety of dishes without the hassle of getting up for refills. While the food is above average and enjoyable, there is potential for improvement in certain dishes. If the restaurant focuses on perfecting some of the recipes and possibly fine-tuning the flavors, it could easily become an unmatched culinary destination.
Overall, I would highly recommend Maharaja Bhog for anyone looking for a unique dining experience with authentic Indian cuisine. It's a must-try at least once, and I look forward to returning to see how their...
Read moreMaharaja Bhog – 100% Pure Vegetarian Indian Restaurant. It is a thali system; all you can eat served on the table and not A la carte. They have good options of Indian sweets as well. Sweets are not part of the Thali, and you must purchase is separately and take them home. Also available is sweet pan that also is not part of the thali. They do not make reservations on phone nor block tables for anyone. It is first come, first serve. I have been to this place 3 times now and they have never disappointed me. Overall, 5 stars for food ambience, location, and service (please do not compare the rating with 5 stars fine dine) 5 Stars for ambience and decoration, furniture etc. Seats are comfortable and tables are wide enough to house the entire thali (it is big, you can figure it out from the photographs). 5 Stars for location, parking (ample of parking available) it is on the ground floor and easily accessible. 5 Stars for service and server. Average waiting time is 20mins. So, plan accordingly. 5 Stars for food quality, portion, and taste. 5 Stars for cleanliness and hygiene. Utensils and cutlery were clean. I read about other reviews, few of them seems they are deliberately trying to bring down their rating. Example 1: They are there to break their Ramzan fast and once are on the table asked the server to wait for 30mins before they start serving to them. This is once they have placed the thali’s on their table. This gentleman gave them 1 star as they did not allow them to occupy (they asked them to be seated after 30mins) their seat without eating and other customers were waiting. Seriously??? Example 2: Server by mistake spilled lassi on her jacket. Apologized multiple times, tried to clean it best possible, management further gave them 10% discount on their order. She appreciated service and food and still gave them 1 star for not waving off entire bill (basically they wanted to eat for free) Example 3: This gentleman gave them 1 star for not taking reservation on phone and blocking table for them Review should be about food, ambience, service, taste and not about the complaints that are not at all related to the...
