Mani's Pizza & Wings — Restaurant in Mississauga

Just finished eating my order and had to write a review because I was so surprised and happy! This was the first time I ever ordered from Mani's. I liked that they offered lots of things to eat so I gave them a try. Had an order of fish & chips, greek salad, pizza, desserts, veggie burger and various dips/pop. Now normally when a places cooks too much food I wouldn't expect the pizza to be great, but I was very supprised at the quality of the pizza! Taste better than the chain pizza places, and the sauce has flavor! Most of the chains have watered down sauce, but Mani's tatses like someone just made it with all the good herbs you should be using in a sauce. The fish & chips were great, so was the salad which looked like it was just prepared fresh before the order was delivered. The veggie burger was PERFECT, Really what stood out about Mani's food was the quality, everything was fresh. I'm from the NYC area, and I really miss good diner food. I felt like I was back in NY having some good diner food... and then some pizza which was great as well, best of both worlds. Delivery does take an hour, but it's totally worth any wait for the quality of the food. Pizza pizza and ect, it's so sad they can't do what this family run store manages to do. You would figure big corporate places (which are what is mostly around 'Sauga) would be able to afford the best of the best, but they cheap out on quality and selection. Mani's put so much care into their food I just had to instantly write a review cause I'm so happy. We ordered a burger, fish and chips and medium sized pizza from this place. Here are our comments: We paid for extra cheese on the pizza. This was missing! In fact it had less cheese than a normal pizza. The Pizza was bland, lacked flavour and was cold and limp when it arrived. The burger was horrible in taste They do not have the foggiest idea of what is meant by Fish and Chips, which is supposed to be British with the batter and homestyle wedges. This one was some pakistani style spicy burnt looking stuff with fries which were stuck to each other, clearly fried when they were defrosted! They bill themselves as a European/Italian restaurant, which is a complete lie. Discovered after talking to them over the phone that they are Pakistani and make Paki style food. For just these 3 measly portioned and rotten food, we paid over 41 dollars! When we called them back to complain (3 times) they kept making excuses that the manager was not in, they will call back and then send us a refund etc, which they never did. You've got to be out of your mind to eat at this dump. I strongly supect all the 'positive' reviews are from their own stooges! You have...

This is straight from their website, "Served with our home made Tomato sauce, Meat sauce, Alfredo sauce or Rose sauce and Garlic Bread" it then lists the different options for the pasta and their prices. For Penne it says $11.99, I place the order for Penne pasta with mushrooms, green peppers and Alfredo sauce and I got a quote for $23, no I did not hear it wrong, when I asked why there was such a price difference, I was told the $11.99 is just for the pasta and that the sauce (which again the website says comes with pasta) and two toppings are extra cost, which is honestly just crazy. Who charges $11.99 for plain boiled pasta? The funny thing is, I have had pasta from there on multiple occasions, and I never had this issue before. I initially thought the guy messed up, but then it was confirmed by his co-worker.

It went from one of my favorite places to eat to "I'm not eating there again".

P.S. this was a 5 star rating from a couple years ago which I'm now changing to 1 star.

And to the owner of the restaurant, I don't know if you read these reviews, but this happened a few weeks ago so I doubt they would even remember if...
