Honestly this place has become increasingly disappointing. I have been coming here for 5 years, spending hundreds of dollars here a month, ordering multiple times a month on uber and on their website, coming in person to eat, encouraging others to try these wings themselves. I only ever complained once a few years ago regarding their delivery area - the map they had online showed my location to be within their delivery distance but when placing my order over the phone, the person I spoke to argued with me about how they changed the delivery range but it just wasn’t updated on their site. I ended up not going through with the order and stopped eating here for a little while but the wings are so so good I eventually came back.
Many times since then I have ordered 3Lbs, 4lbs+ and have gotten tiny wings, paid extra for saucy wings and have gotten regular sauce, gotten smaller portions of wedges than normal, gotten overcooked wings. But not once did I complain about any of that. I thought it was worth it anyway and did not mind supporting this business even during the times my orders came back wrong or inconsistent.
I have since moved out of town and had a craving for these wings today and being pregnant I just had to have them. My husband and I drove all the way out from Hamilton just for this. I ordered the 3 lbs Sunday Funday deal + a large wedges on their website. They didn’t have the option on the site to request this so I wrote in the notes requesting for the Mauy Thai sauce to be to be 1.5 pounds and the Like a Panda to be just half pound. All three of my sauces I ordered were gourmet sauces as I always order those flavours. I have asked for this type of request a few times before and have gotten it fulfilled with no problems. Upon picking up, I was told they only do this type of request “sometimes” and not when they have a lot of orders. I don’t doubt that they had a lot of orders to fulfill but seriously? How are we the customer supposed to know when to ask for it and when not to? When WingNation cannot fulfill a request I would receive a call explaining the situation but I received no such call tonight. I was never given the option to modify or even cancel my order. Why are you offering the option of order half a pound or 1.5 pounds if you can only do it “sometimes”. What is the point of that? How much extra effort is it to make 1 of the pounds 0.5 more and the other just half a pound? Aren’t you saucing the same wings? It’s not like I was asking for a different sauce and refusing to pay for it - you were already preparing 3 pounds for me anyway.
The inconsistency of this place has become so disheartening to endure further. To come alll the way from Hamilton for these wings only to be disappointed certainly does not motivate me to eat here again.
And you can check your logs - I would be happy to provide any further information so you can see that I have been coming here for years but what would be the point anymore? It sucks that I now live so faraway and need to drive 40+ minutes to have these wings but maybe it’s for the best tbh.
I wouldn’t discourage anyone from coming here but honestly, if you eat here long enough you’ll be just as disappointed. Do it as...
Read moreImagine spending 300 dollars on a restaurant every month. To the point you've gotten 5 plus ppl to go here religiously. To the point every time there's a party ppl expect you to bring these wings you made everyone fall in love with. Did this for 3 years straight. 300 a month every month, every year for 3 years. Then 2 times in a row they didn't put any sauce on my wings. That's 120 dollars of wings where they didn't put any sauce. Two weekends in a row. The manager called me a liar and swore on the phone towards me. I was shocked. I've spent thousands and thousands at this point and never once complained. The manager rather call this loyal customer a liar then just admit he messed up. Stopped going for 2 years because of this. Went back recently and they still have the best wings in town. But i ordered twice a month ago for my family. 130 dollars worth , no sauce on my wings i paid extra for the second time...... Instead of complaining I'm just going to stop going here. Wayyyy to expensive for a hot head manager who cant admit he forgot to put sauce on the wings. Prices are also significantly increased. They also removed sunday special prices on uber app. It was good while it lasted! What a dumb manager, why would someone lie after 3 years of buying monthly? You can check your "logs" and see I've ordered for years and only complained once! I hope you guys fail lol, buy at your own risk. I still think they are the best...
Read moreI was a regular at this place and made a couple of my family and friends become regulars too. We live 20+ minutes away. Their food was good about an year to two years ago but recently since 2020 their quality started going downhill. Quantity decreased, wing size decreased, and the staff forgets to sauce the wings right sometimes. During my last visit I spoke to the manager because they got my order wrong and also told him about their lowering quality. The manager refused to listen to his long time customer's opinion. I've been going to this location before this manager even came into it. So my opinion is 100% valid. My friends and family also have the same opinion which is why we have all stopped going to this place. There was a point in time I called this the best wing restaurant in the GTA, those days are over. Continue to ignore your customer opinions and soon your business will come to an end.
Adding onto this review, they scam customers who order online. Let's say the total online comes up to $35, but once you get into the store to pay, magically the total increases to $40 because of this and that. The total at the counter should be total displayed on your online order and in the email. It should not magically be a higher value. The Wing Factory is forgetting money doesn't fall from trees, it's brought in by customers. Once customers stop coming the money...
