I'm rating to your location because you new store which recently open at Dreamcrest in Mississauga doesn't have any google reviews. So no offence to Dundas location since I never went there. Normally I shop at Bismillah Sweets and by all means they are the best and no. 1 place when it comes to food quality and sweet variety and service on top plus they have lowest prices for samosas 3 veg samosas for only $1 tax included or 2 chicken samosas for $1 tax included on top they accept debit as well and give receipts. Also they even gave me and other customers to try 1 piece of sweet, sometimes, just to try. Amazing! they know business and customer service. Anyways my rating for Dreamcrest location is ZERO or how about MINUS 5 STARS. The owner should read this review and train the new staff before opening new location and not to rush making money just because Eid is coming soon. How to do customer service and serve customers and all the basics. Hope staff has no hearing problem and their brains are functioning normal. People who sell food in third world countries on streets do far better service and never cheat. I came to the new store for the first time and I simply ordered 2 veg samosas and 4 chicken samosas only because of my co-worker's recommendation and when I came home it was the opposite 4 veg samosas and 2 chicken samosas. I was so mad as if I wanted to go back and throw samosas on their faces. Two different ladies took my order but then 1 man from inside brought samosas and still made the mistake, so it took 3 people to bring my 6 samosas or someone inside mixed up veg and chicken samosas all together. May be they should invest in a X-ray machine to check samosas before handing out to customers. Not sure whom to be blamed but I was charged wrongfully and cheated end of the day and I lost my money for paying more for veg samosas because of someones mistake. I guess this was my first and last visit to your location since I was cheated and given poor horrible service. On top I didn't even get my receipt or even asked for it, seems like a typical Desi issue to cheap out and save money on receipt rolls and same money. There was a family reunion in the store and little girl was on the cash area well. I guess once again to save money on wages and not to hire outside person another Desi issue to cut corners but cutting corners can cut some customers for life and hurt business in the long run. My trust is totally gone now. After all, Desi are still Desi whether in Canada or back home they will never learn to run proper business and the meaning of true customer service no matter...
Read moreEveryone complaining...chill out! Potato peels? Really? That's not an accident. Have you people ate fresh cut french fries before? It's very common not to peel potatoes. That being said I just got a bunch of chicken samosas and veg samosas. They were excellent in many ways. The lady serving was excellent and attentive (to the one complaining about the staff, did you ignore the lady when she tried to help you because you had no clue what you wanted?). The store front was very clean and spacious if it were busy for the physical distancing. Now for the review of the food....I got only a couple of mithai out there namely the kalakand and some coconut halwa and they were both excellent. I asked the lady what was very popular and she named a few and offered me a really awesome ladoo filled with raisins and almonds (so my work is cut the next time I go). The veg samosas were excellent but I did find the filing a little bland even though it was spicy and full of spice. The chicken samosas were excellent too, a little spicier and definitely different. Now, one last note people...... This is not the best mithai or samosas I have eaten.... Not at all. However this is excellent value for your money and it is good regardless. So all you normalpnormal give it a try.... All you otherfother people go pay $16/lb elsewhere and go pay $4.50 for 2 samosas so you don't complain about nonsense. I am in the food industry as well and you have to show some courtesy to people that have been working long and hard during this pandemic while others gladly stay at home collecting the cerb voluntarily. That's all...
Read moreLast four years or more I have been buying vege samosas here and gifting it to people asking counter person to drop in a business card in every bag. This is the only item I know and suspect that I am not alone. Great taste and prices. Great new location. I only wish they would open no later than 10 a.m., preferably 8:30, even 7:30 with a very limited breakfast menu. I think that would be a super success. The samosa chutney is far better now - no color or sugar - they have luckily moved away from the traditional chutney. Service: always excellent if not many people waiting. Was first in, asked to wait 10-15 minutes at 11:15 for 24 samosas. Many other people also walked in with, some with large orders placed on phone. A lady politely complained to a gentleman he had butted in. Really? I thought both had butted in since I was there in person before both :) I kept my silence subce it was worth the wait.
Enough space to seat about 8-10 people. Mostly, it is a take out. Great potential. Needs courage to take the risk and take it to the next level. I wish they could introduce the thick skin samosa with yogurt and thick brown chutney with dried pomegranate powder. Then, the green spicey mint chutney should also go really well with the samosas - I am...
