I arrived and had to wait a bit while the staff ran around trying to fulfill a catering order. It took about 15 minutes for my order to be given to me. I ordered the “Chicken Souvlaki Dinner” for 17$ before tax. As I waited for my food, I sat in the Mediterranean themed dining area, which had ample seating that was empty around 3PM on weekday. The restaurant had a local hole in the wall type of feeling with baby blue painting and pictures related to the Mediterranean culture. The seating area had views to the ample parking area they had. When it came to pay, they accepted cash, debit and credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, AMEX). I received my order and found that the potatoes were mushy and lacked flavor. The tzatziki had a light yogurt consistency and had underwhelming flavors. The chicken was cooked just right, with softness in the center and slight crisp on the outside and good flavors. The pita was chewy and with decent flavor, coming in two slices. The rice was good, resembling more of a traditional Portuguese rice and not dry or super oily. The salad was soggy and lacked flavor. The portions were consistent with the pricing and were enough to fill up. Ultimately, I may return to get a dish that focuses on the chicken and rice, with substitutions for the salad and potatoes.

Fresh. That's the word I'm going to use to summarize the food here. It tastes amazingly fresh. Come early or order ahead if you're going for lunch, as the line-ups can get pretty wild. Got to try the chicken breast dinner and it was fantastic. It was grilled perfectly, and is served with salad, rice, potatoes, tzatziki, and a small slice of pita bread. Come hungry, as the portion is more than enough to fill you up and leave you very satisfied. It's a place that's certainly off the beaten path (most people only know about it because they work close by), but once you try it, you'll be making the detour here every time. Randomly came across this place based on a Greek food craving. This place is truly a hidden gem. The food was really good and the portion sizes were huge. For example, the chicken souvlaki on pita was $10, but the size was almost double what you would get at Jimmy the Greek and much higher quality. The chicken was grilled to perfection. We got there before the lunch rush. The lunch rush slowed down orders and put stress on the cooks, but they will do whatever they can to make things right immediately if they make any mistakes. They are honest and hard working people.

I had never been here before, and was looking to try something new. LET ME TELL YOU. This is the best Greek I've ever had. I usually go to the Danforth. Nope nope nope it's here. I got the chicken souvlaki dinner. Best souvlaki and potatoes and rice I've ever had. Even the bread was amazing. THE. BEST. They put this great sauce on the souvlaki so you don't get that semi-dry stuff you find elsewhere that you need to slather in tzatziki to eat it. If Thanksgiving was Greek, this is exactly what it would be.

Yes there's a lineup but they're SO fast. It's mesmerizing to watch how fast they go. Wouldn't you wait ten minutes for fresh, amazing, wholesome comfort food?

Portion was incredible, price was perfect. They are also super nice and warm to every single person, and know the names of their regulars. I was having a pretty bad day and Plaka made my day so...

Mark at Plaka in Mississauga is passionate about doing the best for his customers. This is our go to favourite in the office and Plaka delivers 200%! Their chicken dinners are easy to order and the chicken is always perfectly spiced and juicy not to mention their vegetable rice, greek potatoes and salad are to die for, but their talents don’t stop there, we have ordered a full breakfast from them a couple of times and they did not disappoint. Just yesterday we ordered 200 pancakes and I don’t know how they did it but they arrived hot and ready to eat with syrup and butter (an added touch I did not expect but Mark thinks of everything). These pancakes were so well packed they stayed hot for 2 hours and were delicious!! I would not hesitate to recommend Mark at the Plaka...
