Located in one of the under appreciated areas of Etobicoke - my girlfriend and I went to Union Social and were very impressed. The ‘vibe’ of the interior is very nice, with lighting warm and not too bright - comfortable chairs and not obscenely loud music.
We went on a Monday - and they seemed to have underestimated the size of a particular party of people that were there (at least 12 people) and we could tell that was causing some disruptions in service, which is completely understandable. We got our food in a reasonable time, not to fast and definitely not too slow. The point of going to a restaurant is to be able to sit down and talk with who you’re with, and enjoy your time. The server who was helping us, was also very nice - she did an excellent job considering the circumstance that she was helping a massive group of people. The food, was also very good - and the display of the food as it arrived was also a more ‘higher end’ style for sure. Overall, the food and service is definitely worth the price - two meals and a beverage were $44 dollars -
I can obviously speak on the food we ate, however everything else on the menu sounded quite interesting and was happy there were enticing vegetarian options on the menu.
Thank you, and we will definitely be coming back for...
Read moreFrom the moment I walked into Social Eatery, I knew I was in for a delightful dining experience. A seamless blend of a relaxed atmosphere and a thoughtfully curated menu, this restaurant is truly a standout.
Our dining experience commenced with an order of Nachos, a simple dish elevated to new heights at Social Eatery. The layering of fresh, high-quality ingredients, the balance of textures, and the perfect cheese to chip ratio, made every bite a scrumptious delight.
The star of our meal, however, was the Chicken. Juicy, tender, and full of flavor, it was clearly prepared with skill and passion. Each bite melted in my mouth, leaving me wanting more.
To pair with our meal, we opted for Zin. The wine selection at Social Eatery is truly commendable, and the Zin was a testament to that. It was perfectly balanced, smooth, and an excellent companion to our flavorful dishes.
Service was prompt, and the staff was attentive and accommodating, making us feel welcomed throughout our meal.
Whether you're looking for a casual meal or a special night out, Social Eatery is a wonderful choice. I wholeheartedly recommend the Nachos and Chicken, paired with a glass (or two) of their Zin. You will not be...
Read moreWe were not overly impressed by any means. We were there the past Saturday evening. For a Saturday it was slow but we figured it would work to our benefit. Unfortunately, not. While our server was good, the food was pretty bad. I'll start with the fact that quite a few things they didn't have which was odd considering it was early Saturday evening and it was pretty slow and given their menu is on the smaller side. Regardless myself and my friend ordered a burger and fries. The fries were average at best. The burger patties were burnt. Both of our burgers were charred. When our server came to check on us we were already part way through the meal and didn't want to wait for another because we all had somewhere else to be after. Part of our tab was comped, a small part. My friends plate also came with a pretty large break in the corner. Hope they tossed it as it could be a problem down the line if someone cuts themselves. My girlfriend had the tortellini and she said "it was okay". I'm sure if they had the food I'd wanted it might have been more satisfactory but sadly, it just...
