I’m not one to write negative reviews but I was really disappointed when the lady working that day tried to take advantage of me who is not at regular at this place so tried to scam me out of $17. My husband was shocked that I paid $78 for three shawarma wraps and one chicken/rice meal. He actually is a regular and knows the prices are not $16 each shawarma wrap as she charged me. She also didn’t give me a receipt and I was unaware I was being scammed though the price did seem high I thought well prices have gone up a lot. And didn’t think much of it. Until I got in the car and started doing the math. Never would of thought a business would be so unprofessional like this. It was no mistake for sure. That’s why she didn’t give me a receipt and I also couldn’t see what she typing on the screen at all, just the end total. So my husband called and confronted the girl and asked how much each wrap is and she said $12.24 after taxes and he said why did you charge my wife $78 and she proceeded to lie and say she accidentally charged me for an extra dinner right off the bat had her excuses ready. She really tried to play it off like it was an accident girl you need to get fired then cuz that’s a BIG mistake not a little one… I’m never again going to this place and I’m very surprised because this is actually my husbands favourite spot. And that young lady should be fired because she’s probably taken advantage of other customers too. Not sure how you make a ”mistake” like that. I’m sorry but If you don’t know how to charge ppl the proper price you shouldn’t be working there.

First of all they said that they close at 9 as I was rudely answered by the staff, although it was 8:15 and I was by far the only unlucky customer. The food was never as expected and the portion was very small, the salad was mainly lettuce and onions!!!!!it makes sense, “I should never believe google”. where it clearly stated that they work until 10 pm. After I paid for my tiny chicken breast, the lady was so unfriendly (she even ignored me when I ask about the shawarma, I just wanted to ask about ingredients!!!! I will never come back anyway to taste your shawarma…. For the owner: “PLEASE CORRECT YOUR SCHEDULE ON MAPS. And finally, please don’t give your employees hard time so they can at least smile eventually”

I had the pleasure of dining at Pitas & Grill, and it was a delightful experience. The standout dish for me was their chicken shawarma, which was incredibly flavorful and satisfying. What surprised me was that the restaurant was empty when I visited, which meant I got to enjoy my meal in a peaceful atmosphere. The staff were also friendly and provided great service. I highly recommend Pitas & Grill for a delicious meal, and I'll definitely be returning.

Terrible customer service. Terrible attitude. Terrible protocols… I had the same experiences as Ashraf. I drove 10km to try this, as my friend had recommended it to me. I get there and the lights are off and it’s closed.. I got there about 10 minutes after 9, and in the google search it says they close at 10. The worst part is even on the door sign it says the close at 10. Now the best part…

I call the day after to find out about the inaccurate timing, and someone picks up and just says “hello”, doesn’t say “Pita and Grill” to confirm themselves as the establishment I contacted. I ask if I had called Pita and Grill and the woman says “yes”, so I asked how come she didn’t say it initially and was instantly and sharply answered back with attitude man’s worst yet, a lie saying she did say “Pita and Grill”. That’s when I realized I shouldn’t trust this place… She lied boldly after something that had literally occurred a minute prior. I ended asking for her name, which she refused to give, then asked for the manager’s name. To which she replied “why should I tell you his name?”, after trying my best to find out this information she ended up hanging up on me. So I decided I’d try once more. Someone else answered, and I explained my issues to them and they told me the manager’s name is Farooq. What bothered me was that this person was laughing the whole time, even though I said I’d had a terrible experience. But that’s minor.

I decided to call the following day and asked for Farooq. After struggling to convince the person on the phone that I was calling to inquire about some mthing to the manager, he came on the phone and asked me what I had called for. I told him the reasons I called, including my bad experiences on the phone and he said “things happen, why should I explain anything to you?”, and when I replied “why are you speaking like that? I just wanted to address an issue and maybe resolve it somehow”, he said “I don’t care about your business” and said “don’t come here, leave a bad review, I don’t care”. I told him I’d come to talk to him in person to see if he acts like that in his establishment… He used many expletives and said that if I came there he’d break my leg. I don’t know if this is what anybody is used to, but I’ve never heard such apathy and disrespect from any business owner in my life. This man is out of control, angry and worst yet, potentially violent. I really feel for the staff he hires, because with an attitude like that, I’m sure there’s alot of neglect and toxicity in that kitchen, and would never trust their food.

Be very careful going here, they are definitely not the greatest people, and do not care about public perception.

I WILL NEVER EVER SUPPORT THIS...

Overall, the reviews I read are positive and it seems bad luck has affected some of the customers unfortunately. Since 2006 I have visited this franchise maybe 30 - 40 times. The restaurant on Eglinton since 2015, maybe 20 times. Overall - 5 stars. Sometimes, 4 and sometimes like tonight 6. The food is always awesome, hot, fresh and very tasty. I ordered via skip the dishes and was not disappointed. I am either very lucky if you do not like this restaurant for some reason or adhering to the overall grading on the quality. My advise is, try to abstain for a bit, don't go too often because too much of a good thing normalizes it. We waited a few months before getting it again and it was absolutely amazing. Having been born in Dubai, living in the UAE among other places around the world I can safely say this place ranks in my top 5 and I must have visited well over 100 different shawarma locations around the world. Please keep up the good work and play close attention to the clients in order to avoid unnecessary negative reviews. We don't forget. ...
