Sam's Pita & Grill — Restaurant in Mississauga

I went understanding that it is family business and we need to support them in tough tough times.

I called ahead and inquired about veggie platter and they confirmed that it is 10.99.

I saw they reviews and thought of worth visiting the place.

I went there around 12:45 PM and they were little busy.

I ordered veggie platter and to my surprise it was 11.99. That's fine.

I ordered take out, so they stated filling my container with garden salad and added 2 regular size falafel balls and added some hummus and other sauce.

Other lady then took over the container and asked me for rice options and she added a piece of potato and closed che container.

I was surprised as she did not add any veggies to it as I literally ordered veggie platter.

I asked and she said she can add if I want, really. If I haven't asked for That's all I was getting for 12 bucks??

I asked to add all the veggies available and she literally added 1-1 piece of each. I was shocked to see the serving size.

I went to my office and started having lunch and it was so dry and very hard to swallow.

I had veggie platter from different places before but this was not good at all and not worth the money.

Visited on Tuesday Aug 29/17 for lunch. I had the chicken platter. Couldn't finish it because of the excessive level of grease or oil that permeated everything on the plate, including the salad. Looks like everything they serve is completely coated in oil as a cheap method of enhancing the "taste" of the food. Certainly a lot of other bottom end restaurants do this as well. The chicken off the vertical broiler was very greasy. I'm surmising that the portion sizes are on the large size so they can justify the somewhat high prices. When I opened my food everything looked fine. On my Second bite there was a chunk of RAW chicken! It was PINK and I spit it out! This was so disgusting and literally made my stomach turn! I took it back and they switched it out for me, the girl seemed shocked I didn't want any chicken on it again. They did not refund me my money or give me back the difference of the meal without the Chicken, the girl stated she "gave me extra rice." The owner/manager did not apologize to me or even try to talk to me she just ordered the girl to switch my food.
