Ordered 1 slice of pepperoni pizza, 2 ravioli pastas, 1 spaghetti and meatballs and one small greek salad at 3:07 pm. Was told it would be ready in 25 minutes. I arrived at 3:30 pm paid $59.60 and was told it would be another 5 minutes. I took a seat ... 5 minutes later I was told they didn't have any pepperoni pizza and only had deluxe. Was also informed that if i did not take the deluxe I would have to wait an additional 15 minutes for pepperoni to be made. I inquired how a pizza\sandwich shop could be out of pepperoni pizza and was not given an answer. No apologies for not having what I ordered even though at that point it had been almost 40 minutes since I placed the order or the fact that when I paid they were still unaware that a slice of pepperoni pizza was needed (as they said it will be 5 minutes). The sign in front of the cash requesting Google reviews and word of mouth recommendations prompted me to leave this feedback for the OWNER. The FOOD was OK but the SERVICE I received was NOT.
Response to owner's comment:
San Francesco Foods (Owner) a day ago "Hi robin, just checked the cameras. You arrived at 3:35, so I don’t understand the embellishment. A pizza place runs out of pepperoni slices when we sell out? Probably why you weren’t given an answer, because it’s a silly question. You also are a regular customer it’s a shame that you were so eager to leave this review. Hope your day gets better" Even if the time on your camera is accurate and I arrived at 3:35 pm as you say... my order still wasn't ready. The staff still told me to wait 5 minutes and then told me that I had to take something else or wait an additional 15 minutes because they did not have what I ordered. So either you were sold out of pepperoni pizza when I ordered it and didn't make more or you sold my slice to someone else without making more. Regardless your staff was indifferent and did not offer an apology for their mistake. As a "regular customer" (= a few times a year) I expected more and it is a shame that you were so eager to reply in such a negative way. It is clear where the indifference of your staff comes from.
As a customer I have the right to review the quality of the service I received even without your sign asking for reviews.
The bottom line is your staff did not provide what they said they would provide in the time they said they would and then told me it would be another 5 minutes then another 15 minutes if I wanted what I had ordered. No apology and they could care less about it.
As far as the regular customer thing goes that won't be a problem moving forward. Oh, I hope your day...

Okay folks, as promised I have updated my review here. I have frequented this restaurant on several occasions to order their panzos, pizza and sandwiches 🥪.
And wow, are they good 👍 time and time again. This is food consistency here everyone. I am amazed that the McDonald’s just across is busy with drive thru because it is going through some Reno’s. I am thinking that these folks should just get food here at a better price point and way way better food.
For me, I am always happy to come here and support a local business while being able to enjoy their fantastic home made food.
Happy eats everyone 😎

I am so happy to see that this restaurant is still around and still serving good 👍 honest food after at least 20 plus years.
I dropped in today to try their panzo but I forgot that they make it from scratch ( Excellent!!! ), but it will take 20 mins. It was my fault, I should have thought 💭 about this way in advance.
The nice lady advised me to call and order ahead the next time. Great 👍 advice.
Time to pivot, I ordered 4 slices of pizza instead. And wow 🤩 is it ever good.
The crust was chewy where it needs to be and it was crunchy where it should be. Fantastic pizza 🍕.
The sauce is tangy but not too tangy and it was a good amount. The cheese was oozing and it had a bounce to it. I am a happy camper.
I will be back ( order ahead if need be ) to try their panzo, sandwiches 🥪 and pasta 🍝.
It is a local mom and pop restaurant. They are always hard working. We should support them when we can 😃.
Drop in and give them a try and then let us all know what your thoughts 💭 are.

Read moreI was not going to share my experience at San Francesco foods at Clayhill in Mississauga, but when they screw up your order and do nothing about it, then I believe they need to learn the lesson on how to treat customers right, the hard way.
I actually used to like the place, until they screwed up the order for my son, adding hot peppers to it, missing out on the cheese and making me wait for 25 minutes for a sandwich with only three people on the line.
Now, if you are a single parent and have a packed schedule with your kid, you know what It means to find out you have to figure out dinner in the last minute. Basically it throws your schedule off.
So, I called the next day and brought it to the manager’s attention in the most polite way I could. She (the manager) said that she wrote down my name and number and told me that they will make it right applying a credit.
Two weeks later I walked in the store thinking that I will give them another chance. Placed the order with a tall gentleman serving behind the counter. I asked about the credit, gave him my name and number, but he said that he does not have my name written down. He didn’t even make an effort to ask further.
Is this how you treat your customers? You expect them to be loyal? They say: you don’t need one million one time customers. You need your repeat customers to tell other people about your place. That’s how you grow...or not. That is why I am sharing the story.
Thanks San Francesco italian sandwiches, pizza and salad! Keep your sandwich. I will make sure to tell as many people in my circle as possible.
