Worst experience for a first time customer and would never return here or recommend anyone to this store. Upon entering this store with my 2 young children we were greeted with nothing but rude looks from the staff and to compliment that the staff starting to speak in their own language. Like as if to say why are they in here like we were not welcome to shop there. We still proceeded into the store and the entire time we were in there in was like all eyes were on us and we were the topic of interest. There was only one lady that showed any appreciation to us being in there as customers and it was an elder lady working at the deli, after buying all meat I did she thanked us for our order if it wasnt for her the way i was feeling i would of left everything on the counter. As I proceeded back to the cash I stopped at the hot table and I asked a larger sized lady for the price of an item and she told me an overpriced price and then looked at the other lady and whispered something and told me and even higher price. I said no thank you as I was thinking to myself i have been buying these items for years at other stores and never have i ever paid that much. But to put on top of it I felt like the cherry I felt like the way the cashiers were rushing me to pay they were just dying for me to leave the store. I will admit I spent 56 dollars of which they did not even deserve at a store that clearly did not value me as a customer and made me think for the first time ever in my life was this a race issue or was there an actual issue because I did not see them greet any other...
Read moreMy client came in with two huge doughnuts which looked delicious and did I mention huge! huge....I asked where was it purchased they provided the details and of course I had to go find them. First of all it was hard to find the front i tried two doors on dundas none of which would open I eventually found the front door where a gentleman was unloading goods.I walked in said hello loudly and prceeded to the counter where there their was a lady at the cash who seemed busy checking what I would assume were the inventory bills. She may not have known I was standing at the cash, again she appeared preoccupied and her back was turned to me...... she turned around and appeared to be annoyed see me standing there and even more when I asked about the product which I was interested in which happened to be behind the counter, this seemed to annoy her even more but she answered. I placed my order she provided the item grudingly and I prceeded out of the store. This was my first and last experience with this bakery, I went in with such high hopes and was sadly deflated. Pluses the donuts were huge, sadly a drink was needed a drink to wash it down not sure but they may have been made in the morning I got there around 1:30pm. Needless to say I was greatly...
Read moreHubby would visit this place regularly to satisfy his cravings for baked goods. This afternoon, I got a chance to go with him for the first time. Upon entering, I thought the lights were dim coz I couldnât see all the products on the shelves. I went around to check out what I wanted to buy. There were barely 3 customers, but staff were oblivious of my presence. As I walked through the deli section, there was no one to assist as the lady was helping someone in the hot table. Hubby already selected his sugary bread and put them in a brown bag while I waited for the lady to get the smoked mackerel which is my daughterâs favourite. Upon looking at the cooked food on display, I asked the lady which one was pork, chicken or vegetables. She gladly gave details, so I ended up buying mashed potatoes and pork chops. The mature lady in pink seemed jovial and delighted to serve customers; I was pleased with her positive attitude. At the cashier, this other lady was grumpy, maybe thatâs her nature, but I didnât appreciate her ill-mannered gesture of staring at us from head to toe, while being nice to an elderly man who spoke her language - she even gave him a plastic bag so he could grab slices of free bread near the cash...
