Absolutely incredible experience! This Iraqi/Iranian restaurant is a true hidden gem. From the moment I walked in, I was warmly welcomed by the owner and staff some of the kindest, most hospitable people I’ve ever met. Their passion for the food and culture shines through in every detail. The dishes were absolutely outstanding. The authentic hummus was smooth and flavorful, easily one of the best I’ve had. The Iraqi pacha was rich, tender, and full of depth a true specialty done right. The quzi was perfectly spiced and cooked to perfection, and the Iranian koobideh kabab was juicy, well-seasoned, and just melted in my mouth. You can really taste the love and authenticity in every bite. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for real Middle Eastern flavors and warm, welcoming vibes. I’ll definitely be back! Also if you are Iranian and looking for kale pache you don’t have to go all the way to richmond hill their kalepache is very close to our taste and very similar its well seasoned and tender definitely check this place...
Read moreThe owner Hussein (Abou Mohammad) is very friendly , very punctual and very patient. This is my second time dining in with some friends. They have a wide variety of traditional Iraqi and Mediterranean food. We usually start with the fresh and delicious soup. The food is full of rich, authentic flavors — every bite tastes homemade with love especially my favourite dish Pacha. For whom doesn’t know Pacha : it is sheep’s head including cheeks, tongue, and the brain , sheep’s feet in addition to Tripe ( boiled stomach stuffed with rice soaked in boiled sheep's head broth). The place is very clean , the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the service is excellent and prices are affordable. This place truly deserves more than 5 stars! IQ DIJLA ….., please wait for us , we are coming back...
Read moreRecently, I had the pleasure of ordering from Dijla, a new restaurant specializing in Iraqi cuisine. Despite being a relatively new addition to the local dining scene and my initial hesitations due to lack of prior experience, I decided to place an order for a family lunch. Opting for their large mixed grill platter, I was first pleasantly surprised by the reasonable pricing.
The real delight came with the meal itself. The mixed grill platter was exceptionally prepared, with each meat perfectly cooked and seasoned, embodying the rich, authentic flavors of Iraqi cuisine. The presentation of the dish was equally impressive, adding an extra touch of elegance to our dining experience.
From the moment of ordering to the presentation and taste of the food, everything about Dijla...
