Amazing and friendly workers, as soon as you walk in you're greeted as if you were family and it was extremely inviting, so it should be clear that the atmosphere was great. Now, the food; we got a party platter and it was delicious. The fries were pretty good, nice crunch and good flavor. They were a great compliment to the shawarma sandwiches around the platter. The rice was also a nice flavor compliment to the sandwiches and the pickles and vegetables on the platter were good and tasted fresh. The bread and beef shawarma (beef was a little overcooked) on top of the platter was delicious but I think the chicken shawarma was a lot juicier and tastier, although both are good. The free appetizers we got as we were greeted and after the meal were delicious and are a good showing of care for the costumer. Price was very good too, 75 for, what I would guess, 7 to 10 people is very much worth it even for 5 and that platter could feed ~12 people so it is worth it even for 10 people because you can't get this full on some good quality food like this place often. Washroom was very good though the paper towels were empty, they even had a bidet and it was clean. Overall, I recommend and would definitely come again if I were...
Read moreI came here 1-2 years ago and had one the best Chicken Shawarma wraps I've ever eaten. The owner(?) dipped the wrap in the meat juices, seared it in the flames, and topped it with garlic sauce. Everything about the wrap and the service was perfect.
Unfortunately when I revisited today the quality of the food was not good. We ordered a Authentic SK Chicken Meal and a Beef and Lamb SK Mix Plate.
In the Chicken Meal, the fries were perfectly seasoned and crispy and the pickles were nice. The chicken was dry, and did not taste seasoned. The wrap was very poorly made as all the pieces fell apart when I tried to pick them up. The garlic sauce was oddly thick and lacked garlic flavor.
The Beef and Lamb in the Mix Plate was crispy, but at the same time crumbled and was dry once you started chewing it. It did not taste fresh and when I looked closer at the clusters of meat, it looked as if there was a layer of solidified fat on several pieces. The rice was wet and lacked flavor. Salad was ok.
I was looking forward to eating here again after my first experience but will not be coming back after...
Read moreI keep going back to this place and giving it another chance because the flavor of chicken & meat is great, but unfortunately there are a lot of things to improve.
Firstly, the guy working sometimes chops chicken off the skewer and cooks it on the grill.. which is NOT considered shawarma. It doesn't taste the same..
I also once ordered sujuk but was extremely disappointed that it wasn't made on the skewer but looked & tasted instead like minced meat!!! Even though I had ordered it before & it tasted wonderful & was grilled on the skewer. I don't understand this BIG lack of consistency!! Especially when the price of sujuk is expensive in my opinion (it shouldn't be the same price of shawarma). My husband & I ordered a sujuk sandwich, each. One was longer than the other, and the bigger sandwich had very little meat in it so you were eating mostly bread..
The garlic sauce he gives on the side has no taste of garlic. Also the way the sandwich is filled is very beginner-like.. one side has only meat and the other side has just tomato,...
