If you haven’t been to Shwarnado yet, you are seriously missing out on one of the best hidden gems in Mississauga. This place doesn’t just serve food—it serves an experience that makes your taste buds do a happy dance.
Let’s talk about the star of the show: the Chicken and Beef Shawarma Doritos Bag. Whoever thought of this deserves a medal. Imagine layers of juicy, perfectly seasoned shawarma stuffed into a bag of crunchy Doritos with all the fresh toppings and sauces—each bite is the ultimate flavor explosion. It’s bold, it’s messy, and it’s downright addictive.
The Chicken Shawarma Sandwich? Absolutely flawless. Soft, warm pita hugging tender chicken, garlic sauce that’s creamy and rich but not overpowering, and toppings that are always fresh. It’s the kind of sandwich that makes you close your eyes after the first bite. I like it mild so I go with tahini and garlic sauce.
And then there’s the Poutine—crispy fries loaded with cheese curds and gravy. Comfort food just got an upgrade. And the gravy is so flavourful!
Beyond the food, the place itself is a total win: clean, welcoming, and run by friendly staff who clearly care about quality. The prices? Honestly, they’re way too affordable for the level of taste and quality you’re getting. This is one of those rare spots where you leave thinking, “They should honestly be charging more for this.”
Shwarnado is hands down the kind of spot you tell all your friends about, and then bring them along so you can watch their reactions after that first bite. Mississauga, you’ve got a real treasure here! Shout out to Andy and...
Read moreCome here if you want to destroy your stomach and hate yourself. I honestly wish I just starved instead and saved my money. Probably one of, if not the worst, shawarma plates i've had recently. First, the location is not appealing at all. It's a small rugged parking lot and old area, although the interior is renovated. Theres only about 4 small tables. I got 1 mix shawarma plate, but somehow the guy who ordered after me got his 3 shawarma wraps before me. Now, I got my order and it looked alright but boy was I in for a surprise. I got mild (lowest spice level option) and it was BURNING me - and I handle spice fairly well. The sauces were bland and honestly made everything drowned in a hot wet mess. The chicken tasted off and was very stale and low quality, worse than any regular shawarma store (lazeez and osmows would be better). The rice and fries were so oily I felt my heart and cholesterol level rising after (I’m not exaggerating, my stomach and chest developed a sharp pain, and each breath carried a little stab of pain, as if the meal was fighting me from the inside out). It's been ~24 hours and I'm having my first proper meal because my stomach was hurting so much and I've been in the washroom since I ate this. Overall, a top 2 worst food experience for me. Granted I've never had the other location so I don't know if this was an exception, but I have zero desire to return...
Read moreI went to try Shawarnado’s chicken shawarma and was very disappointed. All their shawarma meat is pre-cut — first time in my life I’ve seen a place do that, instead of carving it fresh and making it to order. The chicken was bland with no real flavor, and it seemed like the only taste was supposed to come from their sauces, which unfortunately also fell short.
On top of that, the lady making the shawarma barely added any toppings, and to make things worse, the shawarma was cold, did not taste fresh and lacked any sense of flavour. The reviews for this place feel very misleading honestly, I would rank this at the same level as Osmow’s or Lazeez, and that’s not a compliment. Definitely not the shawarma experience I...
