Trip 3 review: I had high hopes for this restaurant, especially since I’m moving to the area and was considering making it a regular spot. Unfortunately, my third visit was a 360-degree negative experience.
I ordered the Station Vada Pav, which was clearly frozen and reheated. The vada was soggy and cold with water coming out of it, and it lacked the taste I was expecting. I also ordered a takeout Chicken Boneless Biryani, which was bland, with dry chicken and rice that felt overcooked and dry as well.
When I mentioned my concerns about the Vada Pav to the server, her response was, “You will not have the same experience next time.” While I appreciate the acknowledgment, it didn’t feel like a genuine resolution or apology, especially after such a disappointing meal.
Overall, the food and service left a lot to be desired. I was excited to make this a regular spot, but after this experience, I’m reconsidering.
Trip 1 & 2: best experience.
My Dosa/My Roti is a delightful spot for Indian street food lovers, offering an authentic mix of Punjabi and South Indian dishes. From the moment you step in, the inviting aroma and vibrant atmosphere set the tone for an excellent dining experience.
I had the chance to try their Station Vada Pav, Cold Dahi Vada, and Keenan Pav—and every bite was a treat! The Station Vada Pav perfectly captured the classic Mumbai street flavors, with a soft bun and a spicy, flavorful filling. The Cold Dahi Vada was refreshing and balanced, with the tangy yogurt complementing the soft lentil dumplings beautifully. As for the Keenan Pav, it was a unique take, packed with bold spices and textures that left me craving more.
The service was just as remarkable as the food. Our server, Sakshi, was incredibly polite, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, which made the experience even better.
If you’re in the mood for Indian street food that’s bursting with flavor and authenticity, My Dosa/My Roti is a must-visit....
Read moreGuys this place is awesome! Where else can you find a literal BUFFET serving fresh, hot food for $15 and open until 4am on the weekends?
Up until my most recent visit I've only ever ordered dosas a la carte and always thought the food was great just a little pricey for the portion. HOWEVER I realized you could literally opt for the buffet option and get unlimited dosas and curries. Even if you're not here to feast or only want dosas, you will get double your money's worth by the second round.
Sure, there are some things that aren't available like roti, cheese dosa, chicken tikka, etc. but you have so many options to choose from that make up for it. You have a pretty reasonable selection ranging from over 3 different rice dishes, noodles, over 5 curries both veg and non-veg like mung beans, chickpeas, potatoes, chicken, goat, paneer, etc. made fresh to order dosas and naan! They also have tandoor dishes, different chutneys, and namkeen. For dessert they had gulab jamun and suji halwa, although I'm not sure if they rotate dessert options.
I could go on and on about how great of a deal this is but I'm sure you get the point. The pictures I uploaded aren't the best but hopefully it provides a general idea as to how much bang for your buck you get. This is a great option especially for those who work night shifts or are on a budget, but of course anyone else looking for some late night grub would have a good experience. The staff here are also very friendly and hardworking with a smile on their face.
To clarify: This buffet is only available on weekends, with last call happening around 2-2:30am. On Fridays, the buffet opens at midnight, and Saturday/Sunday...

Sadly, I'm forced to update my rating from 5* to 1* as the quality of food has gone down the drain of late. This used to be the most favorite buffet place for my friends and myself. We have referred several friends to this restaurant over the last year.
Our experience with lunch & dinner buffet during the last 3 visits have been more than disappointing due to the below reasons.
• Excessive salt in most of the curries (especially mutton & chicken) on all 3 visits. • The chicken biryani that I used to love initially has declined to an almost flavorless masala rice over time (also, salty of late). • Inconsistent taste & quality (in the pic - Pooris drenched in oil which used to be really good earlier). Feels to me like the chef has changed.
The management has added more dishes to the buffet spread which shows their commitment. We've complained about the bad experience to the staff twice. Hope the management addresses the issues and reinstate the quality.
Original review in 2024: Visited the Dundas location for their weekend lunch buffet priced at around $17 per head and was pleasantly surprised by the food and service. It's not a huge spread, but they have a perfect mix of south & north Indian dishes. Being a South Indian myself, I felt that their South Indian dishes were really authentic. Especially loved their chicken biryani that tasted like a homemade Tamil style biryani. Freshly prepared crispy plain dosa and mutton curry deserve a mention too.
The service provided by Ms. Sakshi was the icing...
