What an amazing dining experience. So glad we found this spot randomly and decided to try it. Party of two, we wanted to have a nice Italian dinner and decided to try this spot when we found it on our way. It’s located in a small plaza and is kind of unassuming. We didn’t have reservations and were there Friday night at 845. We were seated within 5-10 mins. Our waiter was Randy and he is wonderful. Very friendly, very caring and totally made us feel special. He is such a funny and amazing guy. For our appetizer, we had the caprese salad. So fresh and delicious. The table also received fresh and delicious focaccia bread. So soft and fluffy! For our mains, I ordered the penne arrabitatta and my fiancé had the trout which was on special that day. OMG! The trout was heavenly! For the side, we had a choice of pasta and we were in between the rosé and the olive oil sauce. Randy the amazing waiter was kind enough to get us both! The trout was so fresh and perfectly cooked. The accompanying cilantro lime lemon sauce was heavenly!! I even tried some of that with my arrabitata and it was perfect! My Arrabiata was also so tasty, with perfect combination of herbs and spices. They actually serve a sprig of thyme with your pasta that you can add fresh, and it is amazing!! We each had our wines and oh so tasty! For dessert, we split the tiramisu, a moist and delicious cake dipped in amaretto and espresso. Everything about this dinner was fantastic. My fiancé has not stopped taking about the trout. The place also has a wine sommelier, who was introduced to us by Randy. Overall a wonderful little family restaurant that truly cares about its diners. Definitely coming back with the whole family!

I always drove past this place, but never got to try until today. A friend recommended to try this place for dinner. We were three adults dining in. It is located in a small plaza. We went on a Thursday early evening. We were the only people there, but decided the day before to make a reservation in case. The place is quaint and clean. The server came right away and offered menus and water. Lots of choices to choose from. There was free bread given and dip with olive oil and Balsamic vinegar, bread was moist and good. Mains ordered the Spaghetti pustanesca - two of them, and veal with lemon sauce and vegetables. Also ordered half litre of red wine to share and brownie cheesecake to share between two people and chocolate raspebery tartufo. I myself got the Spaghetti dish and it was yummy! If you like Anchovies, Capers and olives, then this dish is for you. It was a good amount of everything in the pasta and it was extremely filling. The veal was also raved from my friend. The desert was rich and chocolatey, I shared with a friend that desert. The tartufo was a hit and it had a hint of sourness which balanced the chocolate flavour. We were all quite full from what we ate and drank. There were more people that came in as the evening progressed. The server came often and made sure our needs were met. Prices are not bad, mid range and the portions are decent sized.

EDIT 2018 Jan 31: What the hell happened to this place? You guys used to be sooo good and ingredients sooo fresh. Today we ordered a pizza, my husband bit into it and happened to bite into a PIECE OF PLASTIC saran wrap (see picture)! Also, the chicken just doesn't seem fresh and neither do the ingredients in general. We noticed the quality going downhill over the past few months. Hubby called and they said they would offer 50% on the next order. IMO not a good enough offer but whatever. Originally i wanted him to go back and demand a full refund but he didn't bother going back because we don't have time to waste... got kids to take care of, things to do, mouths to feed. Sadly this is no longer our go to place for pizza. Will have to find another one! Old review: Excellent PC/Lakeview restaurant offering Italian dishes and they have a Thai menu as well. I can't speak for the Thai as I haven't tried it but their pizza is excellent as well as their other Italian dishes. The ingredients are fresh and top quality. Also the portion sizes are enough to fill you up. The atmosphere is rustic and cozy yet not pretentious at all. You can dine here with family, friends or a date. Randy is a fun server. For pizza they do free delivery in the area and have a variety of sizes, we order it quite often. Pizza al pollo (chicken) and pizza primavera are my faves.

I had to write this. I was a regular customer but I guess not anymore.

We were welcomed by the same server who usually explains us about "Todays special".

It started when we requested the server to give us the coke in a can instead of a glass. She replied saying "We don't give cans in order to keep the table looking pretty". I mean the table wasn't pretty anyway with all the tissues and empty glasses around. You expect me to pay $2.75 for half a can of coke? The server clarified that she had poured the whole can, which I'm sure was a lie because we had seen that just the half was poured.

So this is how they do it. Half a can of coke was poured into a glass with a lot of ice, and they keep the left over coke from the can away for someone else to order. The coke we got was FLAT.

We were a table of 8. Apart from the coke issue, the service wasn't great, we got our dishes late, plus one of our orders were messed up. We always tip but this time we didn't think it deserved the tip they had asked from us. They gave us 2 options: 18% or 20%. It was calculated beforehand and written on our bill in red. The server came and asked us which did we want to pay, tip option 1 (18%) or option 2 (20%). They didn't really give us an option to not tip or to tip less.

I gave it an extra star for the food. I do like some of the dishes but sometimes it can be a hit or a miss.

I did email the owner as mentioned below but no reply yet and its been almost more than a month now.

Update April 2022 : No reply from the owner after emailing them. It’s been 7 months. I guess it was just a show to people that they care about the reviews and will take care of the customer.

Update May 2022 : No reply !

This restaurant had the worst service I have ever experienced at a restaurant. I don’t usually write reviews but I’m taking my time to write a detailed one because I don’t want anyone to go through what me and family went through today. Upon entry we were told that things were busy and service was slow which is understandable but the actions of the server was very bad. When we asked to be moved to a different table she gave us a lot of attitude. When it was time to place our orders my mum asked her what seafood dishes they had and she said”there are a lot of seafood dishes I don’t have the time to tell you about them. That’s why we have a menu.” Her tone was rude and patronizing. My mum just wanted to know what she would suggest just as every server does at any other restaurant. We were told we’d have to pay $1 a person if we wanted to cut the cake we brought in because it was my sisters birthday and we made the mistake of deciding to celebrate it at this restaurant at this time. It got to the point that we thought she would spit in our food if we asked for anything more. It was the worst birthday experience. The worst service I have ever experienced. When we confronted her about her rudeness and borderline racism (did I mention we are black patrons and she didn’t do this to any of the other white folks in the restaurant?) she decided to let us know that half her family is Jamaican. Having family that is black doesn’t mean your actions cannot be seen as racist. Her actions were demeaning to us as individuals. We will never be returning to this restaurant and I hope no one else goes to this...
