I was at the tim Hortons drive through at this location (1212 Southdown Road). I was at the drive thru and asked for 2 cheese croissants. They advised they only had plain. I told them that I will go to another location, however there were 3 cars in front of me while I was waiting to exit the drive thru. As I did not have much time to be going to another location and taking a chance that they would also not have the cheese croissants there, I decided to place an order at the window. I let them know that I changed my mind and that I would like to order 2 plain croissants with cream cheese. The person at the drive thru window was nice and respectful. However, the staff member (who I was told is named Karen), was yelling in the store behind the drive thru staff helping me telling me that I need to be ordering at the speaker and not at the window. She was extremely rude and loud and it completely caught me off guard. I am still shaking as I'm typing this because I cannot believe I was experiencing this type of treatment as a customer. I asked for her name as what she said was incredibly rude they told me she is the manager and her name is Karen. I told them that I can complain to corporate and she was continuously yelling "I don't care, I don't care, I don't care". Extremely unprofessional. I'm sure there is video footage of my experience there so you can see that I did not cause a hold up in the line. I did not hold up the line a long time, in fact when I decided to place my order at the window, I was able to get my order right away. I do not deserve this kind of treatment and it made me feel absolutely terrible this morning. I understand that me ordering at the window may disrupt the flow of the drive thru but in this situation it did not. Regardless, I have a right as a customer to place an order. I do not deserve to be treated with sheer disrespect. A customer should never have to hear these words especially the tone in which she said them. It is extremely rude and belittling. For this reason, that location has lost my business moving forward. This matter has also been escalated to corporate. Hopefully this person takes accountability for their lack of...
Read moreCustomer service here is very poor. They need to fully understand what Tim Hortons so called core values are. As an employee you should try to get to the yes instead of giving attitude and whispering under your breath in a bad mood. Obviously within reason. But if a customer makes an order and kindly ask for extra napkins, a box etc, as an employee fulfill that duty. If you don't want to give a box away then I suggest charging an x amount. The incident that occurred today was very unacceptable. The employee said we don't have boxes for donuts that we just purchased but obviously we all know that there are boxes. Where do they put timbits in when someone purchases that item? The Filipino employee then got upset and whispered a bad word in Filipino as if I did not understand. All you had to do was say ma'am sorry we aren't able to do that or say it will be a 25 cent charge. Think outside the box instead of being rude. I've been in the customer service game for a very long time and I understand people have bad days but you don't take it out on customers and pass your negative energy to others. Keep it to yourself and do the simple task that you do. Also kindly speak English when there are customers around. Speaking a different language that Canadians don't understand is rude. For all they know you could be talking about them. To the manager on duty. Please work on your employees...
Read moreI never realized the standards of Tim Horton's service have fallen so low, but today my experience at the Tim Horton's 2012 Southdown location in Mississauga have caused me to review my opinion. I went to Tim Horton’s and bought the same breakfast I usually have at least three times a week, the server was not paying attention and gave me the wrong order. When I returned it stating it’s was not what I ordered, she verbally attacked me screaming at the top of her voice that I was lying , she claimed she got the order right, that I was always returning the order ( this was the first time I’ve actually returned an order although they have gotten it wrong several times before). She continued being rude and obnoxious for several minutes, not to mention she threw my purchase in the trash and proceed to give me another sandwich with nothing in it, I was totally appalled by her behaviour, not to mention the other employee joined in supporting the server, this behaviour is not acceptable and the manager/owner should know what’s going on and hire staff that knows how to treat his customers with respect. I my family and my friends will not be patronizing this...
