Came here with the expectation of having a good burger with the wife. Proceeded to order to junior "hamburger combos" so it took about 15-20min to cook. A little long but I can wait for a good burger. At least that's what I thought. When we opened the fries we said the look good slightly over cooked but we like the crunch. We also noticed that the fries were are a bit thick. So I noticed I didn't get a drink with my combo, went back inside to get my drink only for them to tell me that "The combo's don't come with a Drink!" SO I'm shocked cause who spends $32 on a combo with think fries, and not get a drink. So onto the hamburger now. This this nearly slid out of my hands immediately when I picked it up. To much cause, it was like eating a sloppy joe! The burger itself didn't look like regular ground beef. It had the texture of like a sausage. Very smooth too. And the edges were cooked cause they look darker but the patty still has a pale look to it! 😒🤦🏾 so at this point I'm highly disappointed and I go inside to ask for my money back and the manager barely heard me out before he said no refunds. Then Proceeded to tell me that they are a franchise and the rules are in stone. Keep in mind the place is not busy at all. And with this type of management style I'm surprised their still in business. I'm sure you can add a can pop to the combo but they don't care enough about thier customers to even implement something so small to them but a make or break deal for a customer. THIS IS BY FAR THE WORST WIMPYS I HAVE EVER BEEN IN! Run!! Don’t waste your time or money! The Harvey's beside close by would be a much better deal than what ever is going on in Wimpy's. No management skills or customer service! Just Run! 🤦🏾
So to follow up to their rude response. They just proved their lack of customer service by not even apologizing for their lack of communication. No one is asking for a free pop when they spend $32 on 2 hamburger combos. They would expect it to come in a "COMBO" you can tell the owner is in his feelings over his bad food and customer service. We were in on a very quiet weekend morning, one of maybe three tables total, and once we got our food (which came out quickly and was as tasty as always), we interacted with our waitress once when she cleared 2/3 plates and then just never came back… it was the strangest experience, and we could see her and her colleague working over near the counter so we knew she wasn’t on break, but we waited probably 30 minutes before calling out and asking for our bills.
Once the bills were there (we did ask for 3), she walked away when one of us had the card machine and didn’t come back for 5-7 minutes. We were stuck with this machine and the two copies of one debit receipt, and the other two in our party couldn’t pay until she returned. She was nice when she was around, but given that the place was basically empty, I was surprised at how she disappeared - although we would never, I suspect that we could have walked out without settling up and would not have been noticed. Very odd.
The other jarring thing was that the manager (?) was sitting at the bar changing the music constantly, switching halfway through songs.
All in all, I can’t fault the waitstaff, but I won’t likely be returning to this location. The way management responds to reviews on here has also left a bad taste in my mouth (and I’m sure I’ll get a scathing reply to my review as well).

The restaurant was exceptionally clean and the food was good. Seating was comfortable and the decor was well done especially if you're interested in larger than life works of the likes of Elvis, Johnny Cash or Marilyn Monroe. We witnessed the familiar customer care to customers who had health challenges and there was a tender kindness appreciated by an older gentleman. At another table, four women lingered over white wine that accompanied their extended lunches. Our need was efficient service so we could be on time for an appointment upcoming. I like breakfast at lunchtime and coffee refilled with regularity. All our needs were met and before tip under $20 for 2. Well done from entering the building to checkout. Yup, we will be back. (Dec 2022) The owners are completely hands on. The chef is both owner and a trained chef! He makes the pies and cakes. They honour the Whimpy's menu but is able to offer over and above. The wife/partner/owner runs the front of the business. They truly know their regulars with a kindness that is extended to regulars and new guests.
