I'm not the kind to complain so please hear me out on this one. The person serving us at the drive-thru was exceptionally unsanitary. She had a glove on one hand and with this same hand took money from a customer, used the register, gave the other customer their change, touched her face, and then grabbed both our burgers to check and see if there were toppings. Money, cash register, face, burgers. She didn't change the glove once.
Two grown adults from within the car could see the entire thing unfold.
If you are immunocompromised, this isn't just dirty, this is DANGEROUS.
I can't help but imagine if we were a health inspector how this wouldn't fly for a second. This wasn't acceptable before COVID, it's even worse now because people should know better.
Take it a step further: we mentioned it to her, she denied the entire thing. TWO adults with a very clear view and a predisposition towards being safe we're able to see the entire thing. She tried to lie to the people who just watched it all happen.
Not wearing a hairnet? I mean, fine. Not great, but whatever. But handling money, using the cash register, touching her face, and then handling our dinner with the same gloved hand, and then LIES about it to our faces?
We won't be returning if this is the kind of health standards Harvey's deems acceptable. I have to assume this is a "bad apple", but that doesn't make it acceptable.
Edit I've had a chance to discuss the situation with Darren with Harvey's, and after a brief discussion, we've come to an amicable resolution.
Thanks Darren for being prompt and reaching out. Your transparency and desire to address the situation is very much...
Read moreStopped in to grab a quick bite to eat and boy oh boy it was the complete opposite of quick. The drive thru only had two cars in front of mine and I waited in line for 20 WHOLE MINUTES just for one Crispy Chicken Sandwich. I ordered this sandwich expecting to receive a chicken sandwich that was CRISPY (hence the title) and I was once again disappointed. The chicken was flavourless and the breading was cold, dense and soggy with zero crisp. For a 20 minute wait you'd think it could have been cooked for more than 30 seconds and tossed on a stale bun. Overall a terrible experience and will not be going back, just go to McDonalds and skip the bullsh*t.
EDIT: After being in contact with the manager himself it was explained to me the situation the restaurant was faced with regarding an extensive SkiptheDishes order that had them a bit backlogged. Having being contacted by the manager directly showed the integrity and customer service that Darren was trying to provide. That in itself completely shifted my view on the service and goes to show that there are still great people who care about their customers. Respect to you Darren for explaining and rectifying my experience, this will not...
Read moreI ordered combos for delivery from their website and it was missing items. When I contacted the restaurant they told me to call doordash to complain or just reorder the food from doordash and pay again. I never used the website doordash. I told them this and after insisting multiple times that it doesnt make sense for me to contact doordash when I bought food from their website using a gift card for their restaurant they started to mumble that they would contact doordash to figure it out. They called me back later and said they would send someone with the missing items and asked for my address even though I had already given my address when I ordered. The driver ended up not going to the correct address and I let them know this because I still have not received my missing items that i paid for.
*we did end up getting our missing items an hour later which were left on one of the three stairwells in our building. It was a bit of a scavenger hunt since we were told it was left at gate 2 which i guess means the 2nd floor stairwell near...
