Disappointing Experience at Norm’s Pizza Massive miss
I decided to give Norm’s Pizza a try despite their recent inspection issues. My neighbor shared a Facebook deal they were offering, so we both preordered for 4 PM, and I planned to pick up both orders. When I placed my phone order, I clearly asked for the $10 pizza and garlic fingers deal. The person on the phone seemed confused at first but eventually confirmed my order—one garlic fingers and one pepperoni pizza.
I arrived at 3:55 PM (just five minutes early), but the employee seemed surprised and reminded me my order was for 4 PM. I said yes, and he told me it would actually be another 10–15 minutes. They hadn’t even started my order or my neighbor’s, and the oven wasn’t on yet.
While waiting, the employee came over to ask what was on my neighbor’s pizza because he couldn’t read his own handwriting. When the food finally came out, I only saw three boxes instead of four. I pointed this out, and he checked the order sheet, insisting I was wrong. Then, he informed me that the deal wasn’t $10 total for both items, but $10 each—contrary to what I was told on the phone.
On top of that, they didn’t have the large donair sauce we ordered. He insisted his boss would never offer the deal I mentioned. My total, which should have been $20, was suddenly $35. He then said he’d “take the extra out of his pocket” and reduce it to $25 while throwing in a “free” pop—which wasn’t free since I still paid $5 more and received one less garlic fingers than I ordered.
This was my first time at Norm’s, but my neighbor is a regular. After this experience, neither of us will be going back. One pizza was overcooked, the other undercooked, one barely had any sauce, and honestly, frozen pizza would have been better. The garlic fingers even had a metallic taste. A major miss for...
Read moreI went to get dog food next door. When I walked out, I thought to myself, I was going to get little Caesars, but why not try something new. I walked in. Briefly checked out the menu because the staff in the back were talking with each other and didn't bother to look up once and say hey there be right with you, nothing. They knew I was there. After looking at the menu for a bit, I look back, and they're still back there talking. So I think fine. Being new to moncton and wanting to try a new pizza place, I must say you guys have failed miserably. I've been in the customer service game a long time, and you don't wait that long to address customers. It's ignorant and rude.
I get it you hate your job and don't want to be there, but that's nobody's fault but your own. You cost your place of employment business that night and any business in the future from me. That's the complete opposite of what you were hired to do. They had plenty of time to acknowledge me. I ended up walking out with no pizza and no desire to ever return. I would avoid Norms pizza because they clearly don't care about people returning.
Nothing will be done about this, and nothing will change. The inside of the store looks like their trying to squeeze every penny of profit out of that place before shutting it down. Makes me wonder what the quality of the food would have been like.
I was right that night, though. Someone else was very happy to...
Read moreIt really a take out with 2 tables. I first had their pizza in 2001 when moving to Moncton. While the movers unpacked my belongings I treated the workers to a bite to eat. I ordered 3 large pies. The crew gobbeled two of them in minutes I had a slice for the first time and wow. The sauce and crust along with toppings just worked. Whatever you order you will be impressed. I now live in Nova Scotia but visit friends in Moncton a few times a year. We always get the a couple of pre bake to take home. My mouth is salivating just thinking about their...
