The igloo is like a long-time friend. You know when you visit them, it's always going to be a good time and that you'll be warmly welcomed. I've been here countless times in the last decade and have yet to have a bad experience. Regardless of what you have on the menu, it's bound to be delicious, fresh, and surprisingly cheap. The igloo is a one glove fits all kind of restaurant. Date? Igloo. Funeral? Igloo. Promotion? Igloo. Night out? You guessed it, igloo. On top of having a wide diversity of menu items, they have an interesting mixture of daily/nightly specials. I frequently visit on Thursdays for the steak night. An 8 oz steak with two delicious sides for under 20$?! It's a no-brainer. The igloo has a large floor plan with a mixture of booths and tables. It has always been clean, well maintained, and well lit. Parking is ample and easily accessible. On top of being a restaurant, they are also a lively entertainment venue on weekend evenings. They have a small stage that frequently hosts local music acts. Overall, the igloo is a great local establishment and would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a nice comforting meal.

I stopped in here for a late supper on Saturday. I had not been here in over 10 years. I was suprised , it has gotten a nice modern facelift on the inside. It wasn't very busy. Some older folks at a few table. People on the slot machines in the back. The food menu is really big with lots of variety! Lot's of different beer options too. The service was excellent and friendly. Food and drinks came quick. There's a big stage for live music, but no musician when I was there. We had spinach dip as an appetizer; it's one of the better ones I've had - very cheesy and creamy! I had BBQ chicken nachos as a main, was very good my only complaint is next time I'll ask for less green onions 😅. Prices are very reasonable. I really feel like if they updated how it looks on the outside it would help get more people in there. I've heard their breakfast is very popular and they tend to be busier during those hours. The floor were extremely sticky , but the bartender said it was because they had a big party with the university students the night before. Huge free parking lot, which is always a plus in my books! Bathrooms were clean.

Igloo Beverage Room is a great local pub, offering the typical pub food and drinks, but their food is above average when it comes to flavor and quality! The burgers, nachos, wings and salads are some of the best!!!They make a good effort to accommodate dietary restrictions. The atmosphere is lively- particularly so if you are there on Wednesday night (wing night is popular due to their awesome wings!) and on the weekends, as they usually have live music, or an event of some sort. They participate in many community events, and their proximity to a university makes it a “place to go”. The Igloo has been around for a long time, so it’s known and loved by locals, and under its new ownership, has been updated both aesthetically, and menu wise. It’s a great place to watch a sporting event, take in local musical talent, listen to some comedy, or just meet up with family and friends!

Let me start this review with a question. Have you ever been at a restaurant that was great the first few times, but then dropped the ball so hard one time so bad that you just never want to go back? That's what happened to us....

My girlfriend and I thought we had found our friday night treat with the surf n turf. We went a few weeks in a row and it was absolutely delicious. The problem I have is with the service this LAST time. We sat down, and as usual the server comes over and asks what we would like to drink. Normally I would really balk at paying 2.50 for a can of pepsi, but the food is good, so we suck it up. We then proceeded to watch every table around us (that came in AFTER we did) get brought placemats and utensils. then menus. then have their order taken. all this time we are slowly sipping away at our overpriced soft drinks just to be ignored by the food server until we had enough of sitting and being treated like invisible people. We ended up leaving and going elsewhere (where we were served quite promptly...it would seem your staff could take a lesson or 2 about service from a fast food restaurant) It really is a shame that the service staff dropped the ball so hard, because the food typically is very good and we WERE going to be regulars.

The next time I pat 2.50 for a can of pop it will be at a concert or something where price gouging is expected. The only reason we did it at the Igloo was because the food is good, but if they don't want to take our orders or treat us like paying customers....there is no point.

Sorry, Igloo for the 1 out of 5 stars. If I had of been able to give you half a star out of 5 I would have. Completely...
