My friend and I were genuinely excited to try Indish, hoping it would bring back flavors we’ve missed from our time in Dubai. Unfortunately, our experience was deeply disappointing—especially due to the poor service.
From the start, we encountered issues. Some of the items we ordered never arrived, and only after we followed up were we told they weren’t available—no tomatoes, no lettuce, no shrimp—because of a “long weekend,” as the server explained. It was frustrating that this wasn’t communicated upfront, especially since these ingredients were part of our meal choices.
The way the food was served also felt careless. Instead of placing the dishes conveniently next to us—where there was clearly space—the staff awkwardly placed them far from reach, making the whole experience feel impersonal and inattentive.
What truly annoyed me, though, was what happened right after we finished eating. We hadn’t even asked for the bill yet, but the server came over and asked us for payment though they removed a bill of one order because they are lacking of some items— its as if we were being rushed out. It felt disrespectful and unwelcoming.
It makes me seriously wonder if the staff at this restaurant are trained at all—not knowing what's out of stock, lacking basic serving etiquette, and rushing guests out? That’s not the experience anyone expects from a proper dining place.
I do not recommend Indish. This was a disappointing experience from start to finish. Hopefully, they take feedback seriously and make...
Read moreWe recently visited Indish Restaurant to celebrate a colleague’s transfer to another department, and it turned out to be a truly memorable dining experience. The ambiance was calm and welcoming, creating the perfect setting for both conversation and celebration. The staff were warm, attentive, and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived.
The food was absolutely excellent—each dish was flavorful, fresh, and beautifully prepared. My colleague from India introduced to us this tasty meals! We started with Malai Chicken Momos, which were tender, creamy, and a perfect appetizer. The soya-based starters were also a delicious surprise, paired nicely with the warm cheese bread and garlic bread. For the mains, we enjoyed rich and creamy Butter Chicken, perfectly spiced Paneer Tikka, and the Amritsari Kulcha with gravy—a comforting, authentic dish that quickly became one of our favorites. Every bite was simply delectable and full of authentic flavor.
Overall, Indish Restaurant exceeded our expectations. From the inviting atmosphere to the attentive service and exceptional food, it was an amazing dining experience. Definitely worth trying if you’re looking for delicious Indian cuisine in a...
Read moreIt was my first time here, and I tried the dal, the chicken karahi and the garlic naan. I have a lot of positive things to say about the food, but there were some negatives as well.
Overall, the flavours and spices are definitely there, especially in the chicken karahi-- it's well balanced, properly spicy, with the punchy flavour I'd expect of Indian cuisine. The chicken was great.
However, the dal was VERY watery and bland. I'm not sure if I even had any lentils in there. Maybe it's a regional variation I don't know about, but I've never seen dal with such a watery consistency. I expected something thicker and creamy. The flavour of the dal was off. I usually LOVE dal, but it wasn't great yesterday.
Even though the chicken karahi was overall flavourful, there were green peppers in there that had a very strange, stale taste. I usually love green peppers, but I don't think they're supposed to taste like that, and it definitely threw off the flavour profile of the dish.
I want to try this restaurant again, because I think there were a lot of great flavours in there, so maybe I got unlucky with my order. This place has...
