The Sunshine Restaurant — Restaurant in Moncton

I can’t really give a review of the full buffet because I honestly only got three items that somebody else picked up for me as takeout, but what I got was exactly what I was craving. My son and husband stopped in after an appointment around 5:30 and took pictures for me. Here’s what I saw: food is hot and fresh and I know this because while they took pictures, the woman brought out a new pan of beef and broccoli, and again while they were still just taking pictures, replaced another pan of sweet chicken (can’t see names in pictures). That’s two fresh pans in less than five minutes and I’m sure they were coming back in another couple minutes to fill up other pans because it was pretty busy on a Tuesday night and the dinner crowd was wiping out the food quickly. It’s a small buffet with limited choices but because of that, they take care of it promptly. Anyway, I got the sweet and sour pork and the other sweet sticky dish that was chicken, and they threw 2 chicken wings on top - they were exactly what sweet sticky Canadian Chinese should be - and I was surprised that the wings were good too, juicy and meaty and flavourful. We had a great experience at Sunshine Chinese Restaurant and their all-you-can-eat buffet! Is it the best food in the world? It’s average, but for the price, it’s absolutely worth it. The variety was impressive, everything was hot and fresh, and the restaurant itself was very clean.

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly by a friendly lady who asked if we had been there before. It was such a nice touch and made us feel welcome right away. The price of pop was also a pleasant surprise—only $1.50! So many places overcharge for drinks, so this was a definite win.

One of our favorite features was the takeout option—you can pay for a container and fill it up from the buffet. Such a great idea at a great price!

The only small downside was the music—it wasn’t bad, just a little different, and after a while, it got a bit repetitive. But that’s more of a personal preference. If I could suggest one thing, it would be to add a few sweet options for the end of the meal.

Overall, we were very happy with our visit and can’t wait to go back! We will definitely become takeout...

Wonderful restaurant that my lovely wife, Pat and I enjoyed for our first time this past Saturday afternoon. We arrived just before 7pm and seated ourselves. Attendant came over to learn that we were here for their much talked about buffet. Offered drinks and we were happy with water, no ice. Pat was content with going up once and coming back with a full plate. I went up twice and was very happy with my meal. I'm rather simple and there was more than enough to please me. Seating is very limited and we were lucky to have obtained the last empty seating at that time. Within an hour or so other tables cleared. While seated we couldn't help but notice how busy they were with the many take-out orders. We also noticed how packed with food their take-out boxes were. Great value for your money here.
