We always go for lunch. For a buffet lunch the price is reasonable. Never been for buffet dinner. After reading all the comments , the one that made me laugh is the person saying there is too many deep fried foods. Umm what were you expecting lol. All Chinese food places have deep fried dishes. These Chinese food places are North Americanised. If you want authentic Chinese goto China or make friends with Chinese born people. As for the food here it's good except when it's under cooked ie the mushrooms dish. I agree there should be more of a selection. They don't over the most common Chinese buffet dish /take out - Pepper steak (green peppers, beef cut pieces, onions). I am from Ontario Canada originally and Chinese restauranrestaurants here are just ok compared to places in Ontario. This city needs places like The Mandarin and Spring Sushi ( all you can eat Sushi). Asian/Oriental restaurants need to be like well know places they have in Ontario. Maple Leaf Queens is the closest restaurant they have in Ontario just a smaller limited nenu. If dinners are over $20 that is way over priced for a buffet that doesn't have that nenu buffet dish options. Wait staff is always on top of taking away used dishes and making sure you have water / drinks. The sushi bar is good. For people who that don't know what foods are spicy and is not spicy they should put better signage displays. I know which is spicy and what isn't but others might not know. I'm Cambodian and been eating Chinese and other Asian foods all my life. Overall this place for a lunch buffet is well priced for the size of the buffet. Taking my girlfriend for the lunch...
Read moreI used to always recommend this resto to my friends but now i wont recommend this anymore. my family and I used to always drop by everytime we’re in the area and sometimes just to drive and have lunch here but few weeks back, i was so disappointed. Those were the days that were hot and humid. We are fam of 5, we were seated first in the middle table but a lady approached is if its ok to transfer in the corner table to accomodate a grp of 6 and its alright we moved. We were seated in the corner so the AC’s fan wasnt blowing much air to us, and their AC’s temp was 22 degrees and its hot outside as well. I spoke to our server and ask if he could lower the AC temp as I couldnt literally breath from hot inside the resto. He said to speak to the manager, the smaller guy that always wear blue, because apparently, he already spoke to him and he refused and dont care. So i spoke to the manager but to my surprised, he refused and his response was so rude. He said he couldnt do anything about it and will not lower the AC. A tall guy that was always in the roasted beef area was there and I explained as well and eventually they lower the AC’s temp. I definitely know he (manager) cant do anything from the weather outside but he definitely can do something with the temp inside his resto but as the server said, he just doesn’t care and indeed, he was right. Its an eat and sweat game, he isnt bothered.
We do love the food but not the employees attitude esp the manager who never smiles and been rude and as well as the lady who always refills the food, shes always grumpy and barely answer if...
Read moreThis is our third time going to this restaurant, and I am still confused as to how it gets such high reviews. The plate that I posted was a sample of a few different things. Out of the shrimp on the plate shown, there was one that I could actually chew. The chicken wings looked good. However, when you went to bite into them or pulled the chicken off, it was completely overcooked. There was nothing on that plate that you could eat all of it without part of it being either Cold or unable to be chewed. The only thing that was good, and the entire meal was the dessert and the fried shrimp, according to the waitress, neither of those were prepared on site. All the desserts that we like, including the ice cream or things that they buy already made by the company they get them from, and the shrimp were things that they just fried, and we’re already breaded. My daughter enjoyed her drink, which was a frozen virgin daiquiri. I paid 2.99 for a pot of tea that leaked all over the table and was not very good. After three tries I think we will definitely find other places. my daughter had a virgin daiquiri that was $3.99, I had a pot of tea that was $2.99 and we both had the buffet and the bill was $73 and change before we even left the tip. Save your money and go...
