We went on a Thursday night in the shoulder season. They have a typical French menu with four selections for both mains and starters. I see this as a good thing as it allows them to focus on high quality fresh ingredients. Everything except the bread, cheese and ice cream is made in-house.

We started with the tuna tartare and foie gras, both of which were fabulous. Both were suitable for sharing. My wife had the Burbot blanquette with clams and mussels. She loves seafood and accorded it top marks. I had the braised beef with root veg and this was flavourful. Both mains were well proportioned.

Most of the wines were by the bottle, but a couple of reds and whites were available by the glass. We each had a glass and were given a blind taste test. This might have been because the restaurant wasn't busy, but it was a nice touch.

The service was attentive without being overbearing and the hostess spoke much better English than I do French.

This is undoubtedly the best fine dining restaurant in the Laurentians. My wife and I had dinner there for our anniversary and we were warmly greeted by Chef Geoffrey and his lovely wife. The wine and cocktail list was impressive and I had the Marius cocktail which was refreshing and neither over sweet nor overpowering. The food, which seemed largely inspired by Geoffrey’s experiences with his father, Marius, and his travels around the globe, was outstanding. From the tuna tartare starter to the seafood based mains, the taste, presentation, and originality were sublime.To top it all off, and even though we were full, we had the panna cotta and the Marius Cookie for dessert which were the perfect combination of sweet/savoury and hot/cold. Needless to say, we will definitely be back and we will recommend this place to all our family...

LA FRENCH TOUCH à Mont-tremblant ! Ooops pardon amis québécois : la touche française. Petite maison jaune et blanche traditionnelle de saint jovite en bordure de route, à l’entrée de la ville. Dès la porte passée, la décoration soignée vous plonge dans l’ambiance d’un sud de France inattendu ! Affiches,vraies photos, bouquet de saladelle … que de l’authentique . Réservation aisée et quand vous arrivez…. On a dressé pour vous 2 tables! Intérieur ou extérieur au choix . Avec mes enfants, nous choisissons l’intérieur à l’ambiance cosy où rien ne dénote du sol au plafond . Confortablement installés, notre expérience débutera par un excellent cocktail ( les propositions sont multiples) . La carte est courte et efficace, nous décidons de goûter un plat de chaque . Les entrées arrivent rapidement et c’est avec un immense plaisir que nous nous faisons goûter les uns les autres foie gras , gravelax et tomates burrata …. Tout est délicieux, subtil dans les assaisonnements et copieux . La pain est également très bon et renseignements pris, réalisé par un boulanger français du village . Aurons nous la place pour les plats? Les plats sont d’une très grande qualité, copieux et vous invite à la gourmandise !! Bœuf cuisson longue durée à la tendreté magique et sa sauce tomate à tomber, lotte divinement cuite que ma fille peine à partager ! Le service est d’une attention exceptionnelle, délicat sans être omniprésent , votre verre est rempli sans que vous vous en rendiez compte , il ne manque jamais d’eau ou de pain , un couvert qui tombe immédiatement remplacé….. juste génial , digne de grandes maisons. Plus de place pour le dessert …. On a quand même partagé un cookie délicieux chocolat/cranberries cuit minute ! L’expérience s’est révélée extraordinaire et très loin devant les autres propositions de la ville. L’investissement de cette équipe est remarquable en tous points et il m’est apparu indispensable de le souligner ! Peu adepte des avis et de la notation, je donne ici mon premier avis avec joie . Le générosité de ce couple et de leur serveur mérite d’être encouragée LONGUE VIE...

We were invited to the fantastic @mariusmonttremblant and we had a marvellous time! We enjoyed a great tasting of some of what they have to offer! The joke of the night was us wanting to have the risotto for lunch tomorrow, and what we would do to get the recipe! It’s soon to be a hit with all the locals! I can’t wait to recommend guests to this new Tremblant treasure. (Note: normal plates at least double the size of what our special tasting was. We just wanted to try it all!!).
