I am writing this review as I depart from the hotel who endorsed this restaurant. We had to resort to delivery last night, as the hotel had no kitchen available, but that's a different review entirely. I wish we would have just gone to bed hungry instead. Having been put on hold for seemingly an eternity, I resigned myself to the fact that no one was returning to the line to take my order. Hanging up but famished still, I endeavored to place my order online, which turned out to be an exercise in futility in itself (the website's formatting being especially convoluted). Out of sheer desperation, I called back. At last, a person! She politely took my order and informed me that the expected delivery wait time was 2 hours. 2. Hours. Regrettably, I said fine I guess, seeing as though I had put in all the effort thus far. Admittedly, the pizza only took an hour and a half, thank God. As if to atone for the delay, the delivery man was thoughtful enough to throw in a 2l bottle of coca cola. Great. My friend then posed a particularly fine figure dancing around the room in pursuit of satellite reception for the debit terminal which, alas, was also a doomed search, and we had to settle in cash. We sat to down to tuck into our, unknowingly at the time, lackluster repast when the staggering realization dawned upon us that the dipping sauces were absent. Fortune would have it that, at that moment, the delivery man would return to procure the receipt for our botched debit transaction. A cheer arose among us, and we patiently asked if pehaps we could claim the sauces we had ordered for, you see, stuffed crust just isn't the same without it. With an entire lack of sympathy, he said "'scuse, c'est les cuisiniers..." and beat a hasty retreat. We were crestfallen. The pizzas were at that point three greasy, congealed pools of chalky cheese ornamented with a sparse smattering of toppings. The crust could be considered textured by those who particularly enjoy chewing; dunking them in the free cola proved a poor substitute for the dipping sauces. My venture home will almost be finished by the time I finish this review. I can only pray that my return will be spared the ravages of gastro. I don't...
Read moreI ordered a large pepperoni bacon pizza with wings. When we opened it, it was COVERED IN ONIONS. Not exaggerating it was even mixed in with the cheese and it wasn’t even cooked properly. My wife tried her best to take them off but there was so much it was impossible it was pretty much an onion pizza. We ordered pretty late I would say 20 minutes before closing but the employee accepted the order. It should not matter what time of day we order if they are open and accept the order it should be fine if not then say they should say they are done taking orders and that is fine too. This is a food establishment, this company is dealing with people’s food, honestly I wouldn’t be surprised if the cook spat in my food it was that disgusting. As well as the burnt wings. If you do not want to work in the food industry don’t because you have a responsibility to handle food properly! My wife who is pregnant and myself felt SICK after this. This establishment is an embarrassment. I could forgive a honest mistake but the amount of onions and the pizza not being cooked properly and the burnt wings I just can’t. This seems intentional. Sorry for ordering from your establishment. As a restaurant you are responsible for your employees as well as...
Read moreOn Saturday August 27, 2022 my family and I came to this establishment. I can honestly say it was one of the most embarrassing moments in my life. We were not seated nor given the option to wait for a table. At first we thought the hostess was joking but it was apparent that there would be no room for us. We are a visual minority family and my mother was wearing a head scarf. I politely told the hostess we could wait for a table or she could split our family into 2 tables. She simply said "I don't know why but I can't give you a table". I spent most of the evening trying to come up with excuses for this while my kids asked why we couldn't get a table. For context there were multiple empty tables and booths, and we were not given an option to wait. It has been 4 days since this happened and I still can't shake the feeling that we were denied service due to being different. Maybe they were understaffed, or maybe they had reservations. Either way I have never been denied service in my life and try to explain this incident to children, ohh it's tough. Good luck to Mike's, I really hope we read the situation wrong. If so please train your staff. If we were discriminated against,...
