Montreal Chinese Crepes & Dumplings — Restaurant in Montreal West

Went there on a whim, but you gotta go pretty early as they close at 7pm. First time trying it, and we thought we would just have enough food. One pancake and one order of dumpling each is waaaaaay too much. The pancake itself is quite filling, after eating that, I could only eat a few dumplings before asking for a takeout box. I can't say if it tastes like the ones in China as I've never tried. But for what it is here, it sure is tasty. Both the vegetarian and pork versions were very good. As for the dumplings, the skin was chewy and delicious. The filling was very juicy as it squirted about a meter out of the dumplings when bit into it. My friend had the pork and shrimp pan fried and it was my favorite. I got the pork and beef boiled it was still good but I prefer the other one. As for the price, it was very reasonable compared to the amount of food you get. For dumplings of this quality, this is a steal! The inside is very small and is run by the owner mainly. This place is a hidden gem 💎 I’m so happy I found this little treasure in my neighborhood! They are absolutely delightful and happy to serve you well in both English and En Francais! The vibes are immaculate 👍The ordering process could not be easier, ready to go at your convenience. The food is absolutely delectable! The dumplings are packed with flavour, seasoned and fried/boiled to perfection…so many options to try! The fried rice is simple and also spectacular, authentic taste, the best I’ve had in a while. The Chinese crepes are amazing and a massive portion to boot. I’ve not yet tried everything but I will soon enough! Well done you guys! 1 - The dough around the dumplings is way too thick. Nothing special unless you like your dumplings heavy and doughy. However, they will stuff you up.

2 - I can confirm that people have waited over 20 mins without being served. I witnessed it at my last visit. This person came in after me and the order was never taken by the time I had left. This person probably spent another 20 mins waiting for the food.

3- Lastly and most importantly, I got short changed on the amount of meat in my crepes. I ordered 2 crepes and 1 meat portion was split in 2 (1 meat tray was split into 2). There was barely any meat in the crepes. I still got charged the price of 2 crepes though. I couldn't believe it! I didn't want to make a scene. Very disapointed.
