Hey there, fellow foodies and parents! I just had to share my amazing experience at this A&W joint. If you're looking for a place where you can enjoy some lip-smacking food with your kiddos and be treated like VIPs, this is the spot!
First off, let me tell you about the owner. This dude is hands down one of the friendliest and most attentive people I've ever met. As soon as we walked in with our squad of four hyperactive kids, he greeted us with a big smile and made us feel right at home. Not only did he take our orders, but he even served us the grub himself. Talk about personal service!
The joint itself had a laid-back vibe that was perfect for families. Sure, there wasn't a massive play area or anything, but who needs that when you've got tasty food to keep the little ones happy? The seating was comfy, and there were high chairs available for the tiny tots. Plus, the owner went out of his way to engage with our kids, making them feel like mini VIPs.
I can't stress enough how much we appreciated the owner's personal touch. He genuinely cared about our experience and made sure everything was top-notch. It's those little things that make a big difference, you know? I told him that I would write this review, maybe he will remember me... lol... even my kids said they would like to work there as the vibe was great!
So, if you're craving some good ol' A&W goodness and want to enjoy a meal where the owner treats you like family, don't miss out on this gem. Trust me, it's worth every single bite. Read more2 days ago ordered via the app 2 breakfast sandwiches, 1 was free since the Blue Jays won a game. I was at home, left for the resto to pick up my sandwiches, it was 1:30 pm. Arrived at the resto in 5 min, so I sat near the doorway waiting for my order. After watching over 5 walk-in orders get placed and filled, I asked someone at the order counter about my meal, it was now close to 25 minutes after placing my order. The gentleman I spoke to quickly gave me a bag that was at the food counter, it was there a few minutes, I saw him bag my order while I was sitting and waiting. As I was leaving, I looked into the bag and the label on the order, they were 2 English muffin sandwiches, not what I ordered. I showed the gentleman I spoke to earlier my order on the app, he went back to the kitchen and quickly returned with what I had ordered. I asked if 1 of the sandwiches was a new sandwich, or had they just switched the bread, he said they had switched the bread. He then asked if I wanted a fresh sandwich, I said no since I didn't want to wait any longer. In the end, the sandwiches were good, not happy about the delayed response using the app and the error on the resto's side on my order.
Do note, I had called earlier that morning and asked if the BOGO Egger promo was available all day (this was my 1st order with the app) the employee I spoke to told me several times he didn't understand what I was talking about, seems he wasn't / isn't aware of the ongoing...
Read moreWe were in earlier this week for a quick meal. When I ordered I specifically stated no mayo or mustard on my burger.
When the burger came it was covered in mustard.
I went back to the register and explained I was ALLERGIC to yellow mustard and needed a new burger. They said okay and 5 minutes later I was given a new burger.
Except it wasn’t a new burger, it was the same burger, in the same bag with the mustard scraped off.
I went back to the register and said once again that I was ALLERGIC and would get very sick if I ate mustard. They sent it to the back and I watched as they took it out. Touched it and put it in a new bag.
When they handed it to me I was too upset to speak. I sat down and waited for my family to finish eating and then asked for the manager.
He immediately said “we’ve had this issues with you in the past” which is impossible because I live in OTTAWA. He asked his employees what happened and they said there was mustard on the bag not on the sandwich. That they remained the burger twice. Which was a lie, I watched them and it took less than a minute to get a new Beyond Meat burger. Which is not possible.
After saying he would refund me he asked for details on what I ordered and then got upset that I was asking for a refund on my whole meal instead of just the burger. Which I wasn’t. I only asked for a refund on the burger.
I got my refund and a quick I’m sorry.
But no comment on the fact that his staff was completely oblivious to what...
