A&W Canada — Restaurant in Montreal

Very decent. the place was nice and clean with a new style of solid wooden chairs and tables looking like wood but strong metal bases. The service was quick and efficient but the place wasn't too busy at all. We had a coupon book and chose to trios for$15. Their burgers were very good although not particularly large, the fries were very nice place than that stainless steel tiny mock-up of a french fry Dipper in too deep boil sort of metal thing with grading and a tilted handle just like the real one but only in miniature with a paper lining in that basket steel metal mesh basket looking like a real fryer container for fries. Very cute but actually not so big. My buddy ended up with a bunch more fries and I had. I think they need a better measuring device.? I chose the root beer which is A&w Root beer of course and very special. So I was surprised when my buddy chose to drink Sprite instead of a classical A&w Root beer. In fact I was shocked. But so be it. The place was very clean and the service was fast and the food was good. And I commented that I'll have to change this to my number one fast food place quality-wise because my other places I've gone downhill away too much.I would give it a 5 out of 5 but I have a hard time doing that with a fast food hamburger place, so call it a four and a half. Everybody was nice and the service wasgreat. I changed the rating based on observations if I went when it was very busy and that would tell a different story in all likelihood but I don't know which story it would tell. What did say they did a great job and they were very efficient or what did say they couldn't handle the busyness of it all. So we'll leave it at the 4 and 1/2 bonus point of 1/2and say that there was sufficient parking including the handicap parking I used, and the service was fast and efficient and everything was clean and the food was very tasty. And with a coupon, it was well priced. .sorry folks these days I keep forgetting to take pictures of the places I meant because I keep doing pictures in another category other than my travels. I'll have to get back...

Among the best service and staff I've ever seen at an A&W.

The evening manager in particular is a very friendly, outgoing, and kind fellow. He sometimes provides burger add-ons at no additional charge, and at less busy times I've seen him personally serve food to customer's tables. Truly above and beyond!

So many A&W locations seem to have retired the glass mugs, metal trays, and metal fry baskets, but you can still find them here, which really adds to the dine in experience.

I've personally worked at another A&W in the past, and from everything I've seen, this location has fantastic management, and to my eye, demonstrates a quality work culture. You can tell that staff are treated with respect, and it shows in their demeanor...

I usually go there and service is good but tonight, the service sucked. The cook didn't give a damn about the food. They made a mistake with my order twice. First, I asked for a papa Burger nature, and they didn't even put the seasoning on my meat. The second Burger, they put mayo, when WE said, nature and IT'S written on the receipt clearly "NO MAYO" on my chubby Burger. I usually don't mind mistakes, cause it happens, but today the employes tonight at 7pm didn't give a damn. the cook was rude and the cashier too. He had the nerve to say, He never said nature for the chubby Burger (it's on the receipt)... And the cook, was like HERE, THE CHUBBY !

This new staff is nothing compared to the old one that actually...
