WHERE DO I START? My friends and I finished class right next door at Concordia, we were hungry and were looking for a place to eat. Seeing that I am GREEK, I wanted to support this restaurant. It is important to note that I am not generally a picky person, I always see Souvlaki Georges on my way to school and always wanted to go and try it out. I have ALOT of experience going to Greek restaurants... boy oh boy!! I was SOOOOO disappointed! Avoid this place at all costs, unless you are looking to pay 16$ for average pita, with 4 pieces of chicken inside, with half of the food served cold, AND very average service. I am not one to judge, but the lady that served us was so dismissive, and did not seem to care at all. When we went to pay, I caught a glimpse of the kitchen, DISASTER!!! People sitting on the kitchen tables talking so loud.... the floor was a disaster, very dirty. As I was paying, I also saw that the bathroom is literally in the kitchen.. this place was a nightmare, I think they were known in the 90's for their pita... and there was even a poster stating they had the best pita in the west...but something sure went down in that place because id say WORST PITA IN THE WEST. The only average thing in there were the fries.. they were cold but still OK. Came home tonight and my stomach is killing me, and my friends feel sick as well.... OVERALL, save your money, and go to Marathons souvlaki, or Village Grecque, where you will get AMAZING food for your money! IM giving this place one star because I'm trying really hard to assume that it was just a tough week. BUT ILL NEVER STEP FOOOT IN THAT...
Read morei used to order here almost every single day back in the day when i lived in the big st remi lofts that got torn down next to the super hospital. im sure i was the best client lol. they used to be open till like 5 am !! i couldnt resist the craving at 2 am lol. the special house sauce is an absolute must to dip your fries in! thank me after u try it ! the gyros are big and filling, and unlike other restaurants when i asked for extra tzatziki sauce in the pita they actually give it ! i moved far away and havent eaten here in like 10 years. but now i live in st henri, so i ordered for the first time in over 10 years through doordash last week. it was bigger and better than i remembered !! the Owner george is a stand up guy too. highly recommend this place. thanks george! your old #1 client, Costa. p.s. i wish this place was open past 10 pm !! part of me feels like reaching out to george and see if he lets me manage and run the place past 10 pm again. i woulda ordered another 2 times this week ! the 2 gyro trio is too filling and delicious !! but dont forget the house sauce for your fries ! ...
Read moreFood is OK - but will never be worth supporting the appallingly bad service that ultimately stems from the owner (the staff are pretty curteous and nice).
I live 11 mins away (4.4 kms) from the restaurant, but since I technically do not live in a Montreal borough he demands the order be a 40$ minimum, sometimes 25$ - it has been as high as 50$ with a delivery fee. This time, he asked i order extra and ultimately never placed the order without advising me. Called back 1.5 hours later to get a status and they acted like they didn't remember me and that there was no order placed (we had argued over the distance 45 mins prior which i finally convened and bought extra food as per their request and have the e-mail confirmation and order #). Oh yeah, and their website doesn't indicate any of this non sense; it let me place the order just fine.
They're vain people that boast their food as the best by far when really you can easily find better greek food in the same area without all the arrogance and inconsistency.
Villa Souvlaki, Gyros Pita, Marathon.. are a few that easily take the cake on these guys in...
