Such a great find! So good I forgot to take a picture until we were halfway through our meals. We came to Montreal for a weekend trip from NY. Our Airbnb was a two min walk from this place. Everything was fresh and delicious, beyond reasonable pricing and just excellent. I got the fresh toast and El Nopal smoothie which was refreshing and exactly what I needed. The fresh toast was so perfectly balance you didn’t even need the maple syrup! The walnut cream and fresh fruit was complement enough. My husband got the Végon and his avocado toast with mango was so fresh, the mango was a dream! Coffee was smooth and delicious and the complementary bread that was served with the coffee was a perfect appetizer. Service was kind and welcoming, highly recommend for a fresh, healthy and delicious meal. We came around 9 AM on a Saturday and were the only diners in there. I suspect it gets busier later in the day but we are early risers and we’re delighted to be able to get in without any wait. Don’t miss this place!

I went for brunch time. It was not a so busy day. Right away, I’ve been welcomed by the staff and could dive into a cosy ambiance, checking on the menu. Service : All the time, the service was good, our waitress was paying attention to the table, servings lots of samples so we could feel cherished. Not too present, just what it needs so we know we are being taken care of. Menu: the menu is really diverse, and prices are what you expect for a restaurant these days. Food: the food was ok. That was the main downside for me. My fruits had been cut for a while, and did not look very fresh (my watermelon and mandarin were clearly dehydrated ahah). My friends had fresh fruits though. My dish was mainly sauce based, which was not to my taste. I could not differentiate the ingredients taste, or appreciate the blend. To me it was mainly sauce. I would not recommend the chilaquiles. All in all I do not think I’ll go back, but my friends are always going there so I guess you’ll have to try :).

If you're looking for an authentic taste of Mexico in Montreal, Alejandro is a must-visit. From the moment you step inside, the ambiance transports you to a little corner of Mexico. The food is truly exceptional and captures the essence of Mexican flavors. We started with the tortilla soup, which was a little spicy and great consistency. The chile en nogada was a standout dish—the combination of the stuffed poblano pepper with the creamy nogada sauce was perfectly balanced and incredibly flavorful. For drinks, the coffee was excellent and La Rana smoothie was a refreshing and delicious treat. The staff is friendly and the service is great, making for an all-around wonderful dining experience. Alejandro is a fantastic spot for anyone craving delicious, authentic Mexican brunch.

I had a really bad experience at the place 😞 I came in today to eat with my friend and when we first arrived, there were only two tables. We took a table and because we know the place we knew what to order. When the waiter came to ask if we wanted coffee, we said yes and mentioned that we were ready to order. The waiter said that we would have to wait for the other table to order first and that the order would take 30-40 minutes to get done. Neither my friend or me could understand why since the place wasn’t crowded and the kitchen didn’t seem to being busy, but we agreed to that absurd petition and to the waiting time. When the waiter decided to take the order, I mentioned that I wanted to have the vegetarian version of the dish. Unfortunately, when the food arrived (40 min after) not only it was cold, it wasn’t vegetarian. It was frustrating and disappointing to have this experience but what made it worst was the inability of the waiter to say something about the mistake they’ve made. He just took the plate brought it back and didn’t even apologize or offered us, at least, more coffee. On top of that we saw two couples wanting to eat in the place and the waiter told them that they would have to wait 30-40 minutes to get their food. I mean, it’s absurd to say that when the restaurant is empty. It’s like if the waiter didn’t want to work at all.

I hope the service improves, because the food is tasty but the attitudes and the absurd demands are not going to encourage...

Honestly, one of the most terrible service I experience in a restaurant so far. We set down for 15 minutes without having any water and menus. 4-5 employes passed by and seems like they don’t even know our table existe. So we call the next waiter who approached our table first. They gave us the menu and water and ran straight away. Another 15 minutes we waited to order, trying again to have their attention. After we ordered, a table next to us just set down and order right away. Not to long after, they received the food before us and seems to be the same same same order that we took. I think they switch our table and gave them our order seens we are waiting for our food for so long. My boyfriend ask the waiter why they received their orders before us when they came 30 minutes after us? The waiter just said "kitchen is making it" and leave. We reveived the bill and no discount or offer.. I can understand it’s pack and it’s busy but you guys are 5 employees for maximum 15-17tables if you think you can’t handle a rush just stop taking walk-ins so you can do a better service. Anyway the food was good but I will never go back again just because we felt like we are not...

Popped by this restaurant for lunch because of the great reviews but had a not so great experience. Before I go on, let me say the food was delicious, the fruit offered was super fresh, and the manager seemed very nice. HOWEVER! We waited 2 HOURS for our food. We asked the waitress multiple times when our food was coming and what was going on, and she clearly never followed up with the kitchen. She meant well but that day, she was inept. People sat down, ordered, got their food and LEFT before we ever got ours. Ends up the kitchen thought our food had been prepared when it hadn’t (which is ok and happens) but because of the waitress’ inadequateness in following through, really tarnished our experience. Not to mention we were sitting in the blazing hot sun. When we asked her to talk to the manager, it took a good 5 minutes for them to show up (tip: when clients ask for manager, bring him ASAP!!!) Conclusion, still think this place is worth going to, but if you haven’t gotten your food within 30 minutes, maybe ask for...
