Bayrut, a new gem in Montreal's vibrant dining scene, offers an unforgettable experience that transports you straight to Lebanon. From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with warm hospitality by Joya, whose attentive service set the tone for our meal. Her recommendations were spot on, guiding us through an authentic Lebanese culinary journey.

The meal began with the freshly baked pita bread, a highlight that paired perfectly with the rich flavors of the olives imported directly from Lebanon. Each bite of the bread was soft and warm, enhancing the experience as we dipped it into various spreads. The true star, however, was the secret homemade butter. Its creamy, subtle flavor was a delightful surprise, making every dish even more enjoyable.

We couldn’t resist trying the kibbeh nayyeh, a traditional Lebanese dish that was impeccably prepared. The freshness of the ingredients shone through, with a perfect balance of spices that brought the dish to life. It was evident that great care and skill went into creating this masterpiece, making it a must-try for anyone seeking authentic Lebanese flavors.

Throughout our meal, Joya’s service was exemplary. She was knowledgeable about the menu and passionate about the dishes, which added a personal touch to our dining experience. Her attention to detail and genuine enthusiasm enhanced our enjoyment and made us feel valued as guests.

Overall, Bayrut is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Lebanese cuisine in Montreal. With its inviting atmosphere, exceptional service, and delicious offerings, it promises a memorable dining experience. We left with full bellies and happy hearts, eager to return and explore more of their menu. Highly...

Bonjour. Hi. Wow. I am still digesting my incredible experience at Bayrut. If you are searching for a scrumptious gastronomical adventure then stop. You found it. This is where you need to be.

The number one menu item at this charming Lebanese outpost in the heart of Montréal is authenticity. And the authenticity does not stop at the kitchen. It defines the people who work there too. Mohannad, Chef Fouad, Georgette and Jan elevated my visit from a casual meal to an indelible experience. I felt like I was visiting old friends, not an unknown restaurant for the first time.

Then there was Joya. Even though she was extremely busy, running up, down, left and right, being hard at work, she was still able to serve a side dish of laughter and levity, a perfect compliment to my meal. This combination of humour and professionalism defines every person I met at Bayrut. They all deserve a raise.

And last, but most certainly not least, there is the incredible Tasha, who gracefully attended to the table. It was a crowded night but this did not stop her checking in regularly. Nothing took "too long". I appreciate her deep knowledge of the menu and the dishes, which guided my selections, from the Lahmeh Ras Asfour (the pomegranate molasses is a party for the palette) to the Chef’s Daily Selection (lamb and stuffed grape leaves).

My only regret was being unable to eat more and there are several menu items I look forward to returning to. My parting piece of advice is to first timers is to save space for desert. To Bayrut:...

A Culinary Gem in Montreal – Bayrut is a Revelation

To dine at Bayrut is to embark on a journey, one that awakens the senses, nourishes the soul, and leaves an indelible mark on the memory. Tucked in the heart of Montreal, this Lebanese restaurant is nothing short of extraordinary.

From the moment you step inside, you’re embraced by an atmosphere that is both refined and warmly welcoming. The elevated decor strikes the perfect balance between contemporary elegance and timeless Middle Eastern charm: each detail thoughtfully curated to create a space that feels intimate yet expansive, modern yet rooted in tradition.

And then, the food. Every dish is a masterpiece; original, vibrant, and made with ingredients so fresh they seem to have just arrived from a sun-drenched garden in the Levant. From the creamy, rich hummus that sets the tone for the meal to the thoughtful creativity that shines through both brunch and dinner, every bite tells a story. There's a reverence for tradition, yes, but also a bold inventiveness that sets Bayrut apart. This isn’t just Lebanese cuisine; it’s Lebanese cuisine elevated to an art form.

The staff only deepen the experience, exuding warmth, attentiveness, and genuine passion. Their knowledge of the menu and enthusiasm for the food enhance the meal in a way that feels effortless and sincere.

To miss Bayrut would be, quite frankly, a sin. This is not merely a restaurant—it is an experience. One that deserves to be savored, celebrated, and returned to,...

🇱🇧🍲 Authentic Lebanese Experience Missing your mom's cooking? This is the best place in Montreal that truly feels like eating in Lebanon. Once you enter, you feel like you're in Lebanon and you forget you're in Montreal. I've been living in Montreal for more than 3 years, and I've had the best experience ever at this restaurant. How did I find this gem? My brother went there first and tried their Warak Enab (vine leaves) platter. He was so impressed that he instantly called me to come try this restaurant! Mohanad, the owner brings incredible expertise to the industry. What makes this place extra special is their daily platters, prepared exactly the way their mother and grandmother made them, using authentic family recipes. For those asking about vegetarian options, they serve more than 10+ vegetarian dishes, so there's plenty to choose from! The waiters are also very attentive about dietary restrictions and will ask if you have any allergies or special dietary needs.
