Incredibly overrated. From the little to no care from the manager, to the pushy waitresses that only care about being ditzy and pretty..None of those factors are worth spending a penny for a meal of any kind at Moretti. People who go to Moretti, go to be flashy, tacky, and show they are wealthy by eating a less than mediocre pizza When I politely approached the manager(Alex) to express my disappointment about my order being dry, and cold with whole rosemary needles all over my pizza, he said and I quote “Maybe you took too long to eat it” Come back and eat it faster” I was appalled by his reply following by him quickly turning around and shaking hands with the big shots. Perhaps if I had my Hublot along with my Hermes purse, I would have been treated better? My bad for not wearing them that day!
A side note. My fiancée ordered for takeout a potato and pancetta pizza along with a plain Caesar salad with no meat. Also, nothing to drink. $75.50. The potato slices were raw and crunchy like a slice of apple. Hey fiancée complained kindly to a manager, same manager as the one I had spoken to(Alex) and he told my fiancée that their pizzas are not meant to be for takeout, to come back and try it at the restaurant. Saids the restaurant that on their website it mentions that they offer takeout, UberEats, DoorDash, Skip the Dishes. My ultimate advice, Skip Moretti...
Read moreI thought sweatpants were only unacceptable at fancy restaurants, but apparently, this pizzeria thinks they're too good for casual comfort wear. My boyfriend and I showed up on time for our reservation, only to be turned away at the door because of his sweatpants. The kicker? The dress code policy wasn't even written on their website, and the staff admitted they didn't communicate it either. I guess they expect us to be mind readers!
The staff didn't seem to care that we looked clean, smelled good, and were with my parents, who were visiting from out of town. I even had my cool full-length orange coat on, but I guess that wasn't enough to distract them from my boyfriend's sweatpants. We were ready to enjoy some delicious pizza, but instead, we got a lesson in high fashion.
It's like we stumbled into a 70s time warp, where sweatpants were only worn in the privacy of your own home. But to be fair, we did see someone leaving the restaurant in sweatpants after their meal. So either they were in cahoots with the staff or they got lucky.
In the end, we left feeling disrespected and disappointed. We won't be back, but if you're looking for a dress code challenge, give this pizzeria a try. Who knows, maybe you'll be lucky enough to wear your...
Read moreI live in the same building and as much as I love the ambiance and the food here, I dread coming here because of service. Today was the last straw as the waitress basically suggested to me she does not want to give me change for $40 for a bill of $32. Every time I come here, it’s the same story - girls are awkward when you pay. I had cash on me today and the waitress said “I didn’t charge you for the water and the minimum tip is 15%…. So do you want anything back?” Why am I leaving the restaurant with this disgusting feeling of having to explain to the waitress that she should bring me my change back and I decide how much I want to tip?? They have never charged for the water, but according to her, “she does”. I will not be back and will not recommend it to anyone. I’d rather pay for Uber Eats and tip them for the good service than deal with this horrendous attitude every...
