The cozy ambiance coupled with the tantalizing aroma of freshly prepared dishes was an excellent prelude to the culinary adventure that awaited.
The highlight of my breakfast was the Avocado Toast. Every bite was a celebration of flavor and texture, with perfectly ripe avocado layered on a crispy toast - a simple yet impactful combination that was deliciously satisfying.
The restaurant also offers an interesting range of unique chocolate options, which were an absolute treat. From the first bite, it's clear these are no ordinary confections but a thoughtfully curated selection of chocolate experiences. Each variant brought something new and exciting to the palate, making them a must-try for any chocolate aficionado.
The staff at Le Cartet were commendable, providing insightful suggestions and attentive service throughout my visit. Their boutique section was a delightful surprise too, housing an array of unique items that added an extra touch to the overall experience.

Read moreI love brunch and unique dining experiences. I recently visited Le Cartet Resto Boutique in Montreal, and I have to say, it was a fantastic experience from start to finish.
Firstly, the restaurant's location in the heart of Montreal's Old Port was lovely. I was pleasantly surprised by the beautiful and contemporary décor that managed to give off a chic-bistro vibe while still feeling cozy and welcoming inside.
The service was great. The staff was friendly and attentive without being overbearing, which was excellent!
Now, about the food, it was nothing short of amazing. The brunch menu was diverse, creative, and flavorful, with many options that cater to different dietary restrictions, which is a plus. I ordered their signature plate, which came with perfectly poached eggs, bacon, vegetables, and the most delicious sourdough bread; It was heavenly! To add on, the coffee was also fantastic, and they have their fresh bakery that offered some mouth-watering treats – excellent for a dessert lover like me.
Overall, I'm glad I discovered Le Cartet Resto Boutique. It's a real gem of a spot in Montreal, and I'm already considering...
Read moreI’ve been visiting Le Cartet for years, often choosing it for brunch or lunch due to its proximity to my office. It used to be a reliable spot with good food and coffee. However, my recent experiences have been disappointing.
On my latest visit, I ordered a salmon bagel, expecting a satisfying meal. Instead, I received a dry bagel with four minuscule slices of salmon( about 20g ) and a smear of cream cheese. This underwhelming dish cost me $20 before tax. Adding two lemonades and a coffee brought my total to $58, excluding tax and tip. For such a price, the portion and quality were unacceptable.
While the staff remains friendly and welcoming, providing service with a smile, it doesn’t compensate for the declining food quality and inflated prices. It’s disheartening to see a place that once offered value and quality now fall short on both fronts.
In the past, dishes like Le Canton were enjoyable, but given the recent downturn, I’m hesitant to return. It’s unfortunate to witness such a decline in a place that once...
