I visited earlier this week and I have to say this felt over hyped. The flavours of the ice cream were nice, didn’t love the stronger taste of mastic in the ashta but that’s a personal preference. The cones however were no longer fresh/crunchy as they were kept out in the AC rather than being stored in a container. The pistachio and the almond flavours were good but the staff was scooping new ashta ice cream on top of the older ashta ice cream which didn’t make sense.
The two personnel working behind the counter were nice but very confused and lost between all the orders. From running to cut up sweets from a pan, to staying by the stove, to brewing coffee and scooping ice cream. It was overwhelming to watch and we didn’t get that amazing service experience people rave about.
The decor feels modern but cold. The price tag from the decorative plants was still on them and at minimum putting them into pots would be better. The strobe/clubbing lights felt a bit too much for a weeknight.
In a neighbourhood with other great Arab and middle eastern options we...
Read moreI gave Bouza a 3 star because the ice cream is unique and delicous. However having said that, the staff and owner do not provide very good service. The lady who served us had no idea what was in the ice cream when we asked about the achta, rose and pistachio flavors. She did provide us with a taste of each. We proceeded to take 1 medium achta and 1 medium combo of rose and pistachio ice cream. She suggested to place the rose ice cream on the bottom of the cup and pistachio on top, and then instead of pistachio flavour she placed achta. We told her this isnt what we wanted so she proceeded to take the achta out and put it back in the tub of ice cream! Then I tried to have a conversation with the gentleman who was there and I presumed he was the owner. He wasn't rude but he was standoffish and not very friendly so that really turned me off as he wouldn't converse with me at all, I was nice and friendly however he wouldn't return my banter. Oh well no matter ice cream is delicous however atmosphere and service...

I recently visited this bouza shop, and I am beyond impressed! The flavors are rich and authentically Middle Eastern, capturing the essence of traditional bouza with a modern twist. The texture is perfectly smooth and creamy, with just the right amount of stretch that makes bouza unique. The pistachio flavor is out of this world, packed with real, high-quality nuts, and the rosewater infusion in the ashta flavor was subtle yet aromatic.
We were greeted by Rahaf, who made our experience even better with her warm and welcoming attitude. She was incredibly helpful, offering great recommendations for flavor pairings and made us feel right at home.
The shop has a cozy, inviting atmosphere, perfect for enjoying a treat with family or friends. If you’re looking for an authentic taste of bouza that takes you straight to the streets of Beirut, this is the place! Highly recommend it to anyone with a sweet tooth. I’ll definitely be...
