I really don't understand what all the hype is about regarding that place. It was ok at best but for 250$ for 2 people with no desert i'd expect a little better. The service was the biggest issue IMO. When the bill came the oysters, calamari plate and the gins we ordered at first were still on the tiny table as we struggle to find any spot to deposit, well, anything. Took a good 30 min to even order those gin tonics in the first place and another good 10-15 to actually get them. We poured our own wine, got up to get our utensils, it was truly really bad. I don't know if its the infamous 'pénurie de main d'oeuvre'' striking again but my suggestion would be to take less reservation if you're not able to take care of your guests properly. The place looks nice and the ambiance is great. The food was meh. Oysters full of pieces of shells in them. Tartare dripping and saggy as ever. Would maybe go back for a drink but most probably not to eat unless i have to. Im telling you i dont think we saw our waiter more than twice (or any waiter for that matter) during the entire 3 1/2 hours stay Great location though, that's too bad because what a shitshow of a...
Read moreWe went during a quiet time so this review might be a bit skewed. We went for a supper on a Sunday night and so the restaurant was empty.
That being said, it was still a shock to me that they had so many runners during a slow night. And when that happens you know the owners are very much into service.
We had calamari and crab cakes as entrées. Both were amazing. Loved how the calamari was non-traditional.
We were a table of four and every single plate was completely empty at the end of meal. Portions were all realistic and not over-compensating.
Love the fact that it is a small menu. When menu's are small, the chefs are used to perfecting the same meals compared to huge menus. Also the restaurant doesn't need to carry huge inventory which leads to healthy food turnover. So the food you eat is always fresh.
I also have to say that everything is appropriately priced. Couldn't complain.
Last note on the service. When one of our members as for a glass of wine and then asked for her next to be sweeter and then the last to be an in-between of the two... And for the waiter to deliver each time... You know the place knows their stuff.
I will...
Read moreThe restaurant is next door to the hotel but also has its own door entrance. So you don't need to be a client of the hotel to eat there. The parking lot is big enough for you to never wonder where to park your car, and it has its own exit from the highway 15 South just after St Martin exit !! 😀
They are great, amazing service and food. *The only disappointment is the liquid egg they use for breakfast plates, but other dishes are fantastic. For birthdays or work gatherin (or any events really), it is the place to go.
They have different space with different decors, but all sublime and chic. The Vip room will charm you for sure. It's practical and has a TV to share folders if it's for work or else.
They have a tasty variety of cocktails, alcohol and other drinks ....oh Lord, so good ! ❤️ 😍 Can't wait to visit them again.
Highly recommended it to. Tourists and the residents of Laval. You won't regret eating there and it's very affordable...
