Second time is a charm. After the first time being a disaster, the second time was a lot better. Food was good the waitress was very friendly.
On Saturday evening I went out with my family for my birthday. The waitress was really nice she took our order. My husband asked for the double cheeseburger with no sauce and vegetables on the side. When we got our order my fries were double fried really hard and my husband’s cheeseburger had sauce inside and his bun was wet and soggy. He told the waitress he asked for no sauce and she took it back to the kitchen and told the cook. It literally took 2 minutes and his burger was ready. He noticed that it was his same burger because he had bit into the first time. He opened up his burger and saw the same piece of bun stuck to the burger. The cook opened up his burger and scraped out the sauce and reassembled it back with a new bun that wasn’t even toasted. He was so mad he asked for the waitress and manager. He explained that it was disgusting for a cook/restaurant to reserve a burger back to a client that had been bitten from and was cold. Imagine someone ordered a filet mignon and they got the order wrong would they try to pass it on to someone else? The manager understood and tried to make it right by offering a new burger but by that time he didn’t want to eat it anymore. He offered drinks and desserts, but it ruined the whole experience already. My wife’s birthday supper was ruined. Would we go back? NO! The experience was horrible and the restaurant was not even busy that evening.
Baton Rouge asked me to reach out to them 4 days ago and when I did they asked me to explain what happened. I explained and no response or answer since then. Why ask the clients to contact you if your gonna do nothing and just waste peoples time and frustrate us even more.
*One of the owners from Baton Rouge contacted me just recently and heard me out. He was really understanding and compassionate. He apologized for what happened that night and sent me out gift certificates to make it right. I really appreciate the time he took and the gift certificates. I will go and try out the Laval...
Read moreDear Nick, DO Better! We had a very competent server and our dinner started out beautifully. Then a table of two left and was cleared, and where we had maybe about a foot between they decided to jam another table in to make it a foursome. The person knocked items off our table getting into theirs as they had abut 8 ins to squeeze through. None of this is terrible except the conversation we had with you Nick. Easily $60pp to dine like a damn sardine. Yes it is about $ and the ridiculous prices for thin ribs, gooey pasta (my fault for ordering pasta in an over priced rib joint🙄) cold short ribs and chewy scallops. Yes, I should’ve known but hubbies ribs were a terrible disappointment as well. We were very clear Nick we weren’t looking for anything to be comped but when the bill arrived with only hubbies ribs it pissed me off. Cassandra was amazing and she and her colleagues were run off their feet serving the sardines so we gave her an $85 tip. I hope she gets it Nick and your owner doesn’t have some tip skimming scheme going on. The icing on the cake…bathroom littered with tissue and hand towel, one of the stall doors didn’t close, one stall out of order, another very difficult to slide lock across, one of three taps not working and water all over the vanity top. Tip for you Nick…with that many people being jammed in perhaps you would like to ensure all the facilities are at least usable. This is my very first review so don’t come at me that I’m « that type » . I’m just done going into places that are over priced, the food underwhelming, the dining space jammed and the servers run off their feet serving their wealthy owners...

Decided to go to Baton Rouge last night with my mother after not seeing her for months, and I was kind of disappointed. She had the General Tao Salad and I ordered the Chipotle Chicken Sandwich and the Cream of Potato Soup. It tasted nothing like I remembered. The soup was simply not delicious (which it normally is), almost like they messed it up and tried to fix it. I had to pick out bay leaves from my mouth every 2 seconds, and the bacon bits were not from freshly-cooked bacon (very very sad :'( ). The only thing that ended up okay was the General Tao Salad. The Chipotle Sandwich was alright, but it was supposed to come on a regular ciabatta bread; as advertised in the menu, but was actually served on a rosemary ciabatta bread, which wouldn't have been a problem if it didn't literally taste like rotten bread (even the manager agreed). They were nice enough to bring me a new sandwich when I confusingly asked them about it, but still, it wasn't on the bread I wanted that was advertised in the menu when I made my selection :( At least the service was good and the manager was helpful and quick to fix the situation. Regardless, the food wasn't really at regular-Baton-Rouge-standard for me. And what really motivated me to write this review was the fact that I paid 1$ extra for the chipotle sauce to go with my fries, and they couldn't even be bothered to add it in my doggy bag :( (which just made me sad)
I honestly hope my review will help the new owners see these little things that could be easily fixed that would go a long way for...
