Had to wait 10 minutes just to have someone bring menus. After I specifically repeated and pointed at what I wanted on the menu (in a very polite manner) to make sure the woman gets my order right, she still brought the wrong thing. I had told her that's not what I ordered and she simply argued with me that it is instead of admitting she got it wrong and just taking the food back. She insinuated it was too bad so I just ordered 2 more queso pupusas. I must say it was the most disgusting food I have EVER eaten.
The cheese was not cheese at all. It was watery and I had a very hard time trying to eat it because it simply looked and tasted gross.
The tamals we're white not sweet and barely tasted anything. The sour cream that I got with it had the texture of milk and tasted fermented.
The only good thing was the Horchata.
Save yourself the aggravation and pass up on this place if you want to enjoy...
Read moreThis gem is here for more than 30 years. It is by far the best pupusas you could find in Montreal! They are full of filling, other places is more masa (dough) than anything else. Fish pupusas is delicious, though shrimp taste pretty bad. Horchata is unfortunately not the best, taste more like water and sugar. But you should definitively try their Tamarindo juice, delicious! I do think some items are overly priced for what it is and for what you could find on others restaurants in the same neighbourhood but overall I always had a good and professional service here compared to others latin restaurant in the area. They tamal de elote with salvadorian cream is to die for! Last but not least, they only take cash. Come on, we are 2017 now. That's the only thing ridiculous here. I don't know what are the prices now but when I used to come here, the pupusas were like $1.50-1.75 each....
Read moreI went to this place because of the high reviews and I'm so confused. Aside from the pupusas being excellent, nothing else was. I paid $20 for nachos. I don't understand how anybody can mess up guacamole. It was literally a salsa with some avocado cream in there that was full of lime that all I could taste was lime. And it's not very appetizing when you have so many avocado strings in there..Even the salsa was missing coriander and it was just everything tasted like lime..Like not even fresh lime, it tasted like that store-bought bottle.. it was overpowering and you couldn't taste anything else. Then the rice and beans was very salty and flavorless.. I don't even understand why rice is added to the beans.. it's not enjoyable or natural to eat rice with nachos.. I can do better at home and this isn't even my culture.. Very disappointing. Not worth the $20. Won't be...
